Chelsea is getting closer to signing a third striker after 'agreeing' on a transfer cost and six-year contract.
Chelsea are reportedly close to signing a third striker in this summer’s transfer window Chelsea are reportedly closing in on signing a third striker this summer.

They are alleged to have agreed on a fee and personal terms to sign Brazilian striker Angelo Gabriel.

Recruiting up front is one of the most important tasks for new Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino. The Blues scored just 38 goals in their 38 Premier League games last season. Kai Havertz and Raheem Sterling were the top scorers with just nine goals each in all competitions. Pochettino won’t officially start his role until Saturday, but there’s already movement in the transfer market.

Chelsea have already agreed a deal to sign Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal for £32m. The Blues also announced the signing of Jamaican international Dujuan ‘Whisper’ Richards on Saturday.

And now a third striker is ready to cross the doors of Stamford Bridge. Fabrizio Romano says £12.9m fee has been agreed for Angelo, with personal conditions on a long-term deal until 2029

Romano says Barcelona have the opportunity to match Chelsea’s offer in the next 48 hours. However, the La Liga club has already decided against it.

Angelo joins Chelsea in pre-season. However, the 18-year-old could be loaned out immediately.
Angelo currently plays for Brazilian side Santos, the team where Neymar started his career, which has led to comparisons to the Paris Saint-Germain superstar.

Angelo won’t turn 19 until December but has already made 129 appearances for Santos, scoring just five goals

In particular, the signings of Angelo and Richards are likely to be future acquisitions. Richards will join Chelsea after his 18th birthday later this year.

Jackson, 22, will be added directly to the Chelsea first team after scoring 12 goals in 26 La Liga games last season. He only played 16 of 26 games as a starter.

Chelsea have also signed Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig after a deal was initially agreed at the end of last year. There could be big starts on offense for the newcomers.

A decision has yet to be made on Romelu Lukaku’s future. Chelsea turned down an offer from Inter Milan to loan him out for a second consecutive season.

Lukaku would like to return to San Siro permanently but money could be an obstacle for the Italian side. Chelsea are also set to sell Havertz after agreeing a £65m deal with London rivals Arsenal.

A £50 million player has already discussed joining Chelsea this summer with his representation.
Romeo Lavia has spoken to his reps about a move to Chelsea this summer after Southampton were relegated from the Premier League.
So says Sacha Tavolieri.
What’s the latest on Romeo Lavia and Chelsea? We see…

What’s the story?

Well, according to a number of news outlets, Chelsea are very keen on signing the Belgium international. The Guardian believes that Mauricio Pochettino personally requested Lavia’s signature.

Elsewhere – according to Simon Phillips on Substack – Chelsea are happy to spend a whopping £50m to sign Southampton’s number 45 this summer.

Now – as described by Tavolieri – it seems that Lavia is definitely interested in moving to Stamford Bridge as he has already talked to his entourage about joining the Blues.

Eden Hazard is said to have sent the 19-year-old to Chelsea after seeking advice from his compatriot on a move to west London for the World Cup in December 2022.

Therefore, it seems that Lavia is interested in becoming a Chelsea player, although there are some things that Pochettino and Todd Boehly should be wary of. Chelsea face serious competition for Lavia

While Tavolieri’s assertion about Chelsea and Lavia was encouraging, the Belgian journalist also made some comments about Liverpool and Arsenal that should worry people at Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool are said to have a strong association with Southampton having already signed Dejan Lovren, Adam Lallana, Nathaniel Clyne, Rickie Lambert, Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk.

This could give the Reds an advantage over Chelsea.
Speaking of Arsenal, Tavolieri adds that the North Londoners have the best relationship with Lavia’s agent which could also give the Gunners an edge over the Blues.

Make sure to keep an eye on this situation as Lavia is expected to switch clubs this summer.
