The news about LAVIA that a journalist has revealed is good news for Liverpool supporters.

Romeo Lavia’s price tag of £50 million is now what Southampton is expecting Liverpool to match.

According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, that is the case.

Earlier this week, Southampton reportedly turned down Liverpool’s £45 million bid for Romeo Lavia.

Since then, though, Tavolieri has asserted that Southampton thinks the Reds will eventually raise their offer by an additional £5 million to satisfy their demand.

The journalist wrote on Twitter, “Been told Southampton FC think now that Liverpool FC will pay the £5m lacking for making the deal of Romeo Lavia after the £45m [proposal]] rejected on Monday.

The fact that Southampton wanted £50 million for Lavia has been fairly obvious for a while. Furthermore, Liverpool ought to have just made the £50 million offer to close the deal if they were prepared to make the £45 million bid for the Belgian, which has been demonstrated to be the case.

Due to Jurgen Klopp’s lack of options in midfield, they face Chelsea this Sunday at Stamford Bridge, which will be a challenging match.

Report: £43 million star rejects Newcastle and would take Liverpool job.

Italia star Federico Chiesa’s future at Juventus is uncertain, and Liverpool has been mentioned as a possible destination this summer.

We previously reported on a rumor that the Reds are interested in luring the Italian international away from the Bianconeri (via La Gazzetta Dello Sport).

Several Premier League teams have made Chiesa offers, but he has so far rejected them all, according to today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (news image provided below).

The Rome-based media outlet reports that clubs like Newcastle and Aston Villa offered the Italian international the chance to relocate to England.

Al Hilal and Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia also offered the playmaker, 25, opportunities, but none of them persuaded him.

According to CdS, Chiesa prefers Liverpool and would accept a move there, but the Merseysiders have not yet made an effort to secure his services.

The attacking star currently prefers to remain with Juventus. Due to severe financial difficulties, The Old Lady would like to sell the former Viola star for a price of 50 million euros (£43 million).

The manager, Max Allegri, would prefer to use him in the strike-force in a 3-5-2 system, though, if he does decide to remain in Turin.

Romelu Lukaku, a former Chelsea and Inter Milan forward, is wanted by the Italian manager so that he can team him up front with Federico Chiesa.

Liverpool added attackers like Gakpo, Nunez, and Diaz in the previous three transfer windows, so they are not required to spend additional funds to bolster the offense.
