Brentford have made an £80m bid for star striker Ivan Toni after admitting he was a Liverpool fan as a child.
According to the Evening Standard, the Bees are ready to sell Toney in January, while Arsenal and Chelsea are interested in signing Toney in 2024.
Despite missing the entire season so far due to a gambling ban, Brentford still rate the 27-year-old striker despite his 18-month contract expiring in January.
As a result, Toney may now miss out on a dream move to Liverpool, with the striker already showing his support for the club earlier this year. Liverpool have good attacking areas, so Toni’s move may not be necessary in 2024.
Liverpool will be keen to sign Toney in January. Brentford have set an £80m price tag for the England international. Liverpool should not consider Tony in the winter transfer window
Tony is undoubtedly one of the best strikers in the Premier League and is now a must-have for one of the division’s biggest teams.
However, Liverpool would be a surprising destination for the forward as they already have plenty of options in attack with main striker Darwin Nunes. Arsenal and Chelsea are not in the market.
Any part of the London number nine could be perfect for Tony, who wants to fulfill his Liverpool dream once and for all.

Liverpool legend implores Jurgen Klopp to sign Everton defender
John Aldridge believes Jurgen Klopp should try to sign Everton defender Jarad Branthwaite.
Liverpool take on city rivals Everton in the Merseyside derby at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
Klopp’s side looked the better side in the early stages of the game, but Everton did not back down from the challenge.
Unfortunately for the Cheeses, Ashley Young was shown a second yellow card just before the break for a late challenge on Luis Diaz.
From then on it was a more one-sided affair, with Mohamed Salah scoring the winner with a last-gasp brace.
In an article in the Liverpool Echo, Aldridge named Branthwaite as his special player and urged his former team to sign him.
“I don’t want to upset the Everton fans and whether Liverpool buy Everton is another matter because that rarely happens, but I think he has the ability to continue to be a main figure and a starter.
“I think there is. ” club. UK.
“It was interesting to speak to Jurgen Klopp in the pre-match press conference.
“He will probably be on the radar of other teams. Manchester United have long been mentioned as strong candidates to sign him, but it will be up to Everton to decide what to do with him.
“The left centre-back was the player we were looking for in the summer transfer window but we ended up not signing him.
“If we were to move to Branthwaite it would be quite expensive because of the English gifts that are common in the game

Colombian report: Luis Diaz’ parents were kidnapped
The parents of Liverpool striker Luis Diaz were kidnapped in Barrancas on Saturday, according to Colombia.
Late Saturday, shocking news broke that Diaz’s parents had been kidnapped from their home country.
Colombia’s Semena channel was the first to report the story, which was later confirmed by authorities.
Luis Manuel Diaz and Cilenis Marulanda were kidnapped after the attackers hijacked the vehicle they were in.
The kidnappers arrived on a motorcycle before taking control of the Diaz family’s van on the way back to the Los Olivos area.
The police and military rushed to identify the player’s parents, after which his mother, Cilenis Marulanda, was rescued.
This extremely upsetting news, which raises concerns about the safety of the families of well-known football players, comes just before regional elections take place throughout Colombia.
As of right now, it is unknown if Diaz will play in Sunday afternoon’s Liverpool vs. Nottingham Forest match.
It would make sense, though, and be anticipated, if the 26-year-old were to receive compassionate leave.
Club statement:
Liverpool Football Club have confirmed that they are aware of the situation of Luis Diaz’s family in Colombia.
We sincerely hope that this issue will be resolved quickly and safely.
“In the meantime, the welfare of our players remains our top priority.”
The Premier League match kicks off at 14:00 (GMT) at Anfield and Diaz is likely to start.
Diaz is considered Colombia’s most important player at the moment, putting pressure on 43 goalkeepers during his international break.
So far this season, he has appeared in 9 out of 11 games for Liverpool, scoring 3 goals and providing 1 assist
