Liverpool prepared to test Chelsea’s resolve over exciting potential transfer
Share
Even though Chelsea defender Levi Colwill just signed a new long-term contract at Stamford Bridge, Liverpool is apparently still interested in making an ambitious transfer approach for him.
Colwill, who made a major impression when on loan at Brighton the previous season and is now more of a fixture in the first squad at Chelsea, has shown to be one of the best young defenders in Europe.
Even though Colwill committed himself to the Blues until 2029 by signing a new contract, it appears that Liverpool still has plans. Journalist Graeme Bailey explained on X, formerly Twitter, that the Reds might be eager to take advantage of the possibility that Chelsea will benefit from this deal given their Financial Fair Play concerns in the post below.
Liverpool ready to test Chelsea’s resolve over Levi Colwill and see if they could be tempted to sell given the FFP benefits that could have.

Although Romano did not mention any names, Fabrizio Romano told CaughtOffside that Liverpool is looking at the center-back position, so it’s possible that Colwill is one of the players they have their eye on.
With the intention of eventually replacing Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk, who are getting older, Jurgen Klopp could do well to bring in someone like Colwill. However, it’s likely that Chelsea won’t be too interested in moving such a great player to a rival.
However, since the west Londoners have recently made money off of homegrown players like Mason Mount, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Tammy Abraham, and Fikayo Tomori, the advantages of cashing in on an academy player might be too attractive to pass up.

Liverpool is prepared to challenge Manchester United, In the race to replace Mo Salah.
In the race for Crystal Palace forward Michael Olise, Liverpool is prepared to challenge Manchester United. The Reds have something planned.
This is from Transfers in Football. According to them, Liverpool is now “at the table” for Michael Olise, the star of Crystal Palace.
Over the past few weeks, Manchester United has been strongly linked to Olise, but it appears they are not the only ones. The player is desired by Liverpool as well, and they see him as Mohamed Salah’s eventual replacement.
After all, that is a significant issue at the club. Liverpool will eventually need a successor for the Egyptian, especially if reports that he is leaving for Saudi Arabia are true. Currently, Liverpool does not have one.
As far as replacements go, Olise would be about as fantastic as it gets. However, he won’t be inexpensive.
Even though Palace won’t want to sell, especially this month, they will be under growing pressure. Not to add that United and Liverpool’s combined interest will just drive up the cost.
But ultimately, Salah’s replacement won’t be inexpensive. Liverpool will simply have to put up with that.
Liverpool is rumoured to be interested in Crysencio Summerville of Leeds United. Or would that be in place of Olise? or additionally? Or maybe just as the Palace star’s backup.
However, it seems like the Reds are considering their right side of the future. Summerville and Olise would probably cost far more and have very different degrees of experience. Olise would most likely be preferred by Liverpool.
It will be challenging, though, because United will fight them for him. Fans can probably rule out a January transfer as well.
Instead, Olise will be someone to keep an eye on throughout the summer and might end up being a very interesting addition to Liverpool.
