Ulla, Jurgen Klopp's wife, expressed her thoughts about Liverpool as she considers her husband's next move.

After leaving Anfield, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp intends to take a long break from football, but his wife Ulla Sandrock has already planned some activities for him.

Even though Jurgen Klopp made no secret of his post-Liverpool plans prior to the announcement that he will step down this year, there is still curiosity about what he will do next.

Over the previous nine years, the 56-year-old former head coach of Borussia Dortmund has won both the Premier League and the Champions League, writing his own piece of Anfield history.

Before he and his wife Ulla Sandrock ride off into the sunset this summer, he might even bring more cutlery to Merseyside.

Although Klopp has often insisted that he intended to leave Liverpool and take a long sabbatical away from the dugout, Ulla has already planned out his next steps, including dancing and cookery classes.

“There’s a few things Ulla told me – I have to learn cooking and a dance class,” Klopp stated in an interview with Sky Sports News. I told you that you wouldn’t want me to take a break since I would return to work in four weeks!

“I think I should take cooking classes so I can at least prepare breakfast or something.” I really don’t know what I’m going to do for the first time in my life, and that’s exactly what I want.

“I made scrambled eggs during COVID, but I forgot to do it again afterward. I grew up in the Black Forest with two sisters, and the smell from the kitchen was the only way I knew where it was! In my personal life, I’m quite worthless.

Ulla, Jurgen Klopp's wife, expressed her thoughts about Liverpool as she considers her husband's next move.

Ulla has been important both before and during Klopp’s time at Anfield; if she hadn’t stepped in when Manchester United called back in 2013, things would have turned out very differently.

In 2019, Phil Thompson—a longtime supporter of Liverpool—dropped the shocking revelation, detailing a chat he had with Klopp in which the manager disclosed that Ulla was the reason he had rejected a United bid.

Thompson recalled: “I questioned Klopp if he and Liverpool were meant to be together during my Sky interview. He questioned, ‘Why?’ as he glanced at me. Then Klopp informed me that his wife had objected to him taking over Manchester United. Liverpool’s wife stated it was correct when he came. He seems like he was made specifically for Liverpool, which is odd.”

And as if it wasn’t enough to win Ulla over to the Anfield supporters, two years ago Klopp was persuaded to negotiate a contract extension with Ulla because she wanted to stay at Liverpool.

At the time, Klopp made the following joke: “There’s something to announce.” Similar to the previous time, some people will find it appealing, while others won’t be very fond of it. Put it down right away if you don’t like it. I remain for an additional two years by myself. No, and this is actually the most essential part—all of my coaches will too. Why? is the query at this point. Ulla wants to stay, so what are you doing as a nice husband when your wife wishes to stay? You’re going to stay.”

Even while this time there won’t be any unexpected extensions, Klopp and his devoted wife have already left their stamp on Merseyside, and in a few weeks, more than just Liverpool’s manager will receive a heartfelt farewell.
