Agent of Jean-Clair Todibo reveals possibility of Liverpool FC transfer amid interest from Man United

The centre back was originally desired by Liverpool but turned them down. He is now being touted for a summer move to Manchester United.
OGC Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo’s agent has disclosed that his client turned down a 2019 transfer to Liverpool. Todibo has been regularly linked to a move to Manchester United.
Following his team’s Champions League victory that summer, Jurgen Klopp began pursuing the center-back; Bayer Leverkusen, Juventus, and Napoli were also interested in the then-Toulouse star.
After spending two years at Barcelona, where he made just five appearances due to loan stints at Schalke, Benfica, and Nice prior to his permanent move, Todibo is back in France. This season, the 24-year-old has earned his first two senior France caps, however it’s unclear if he’ll be brought to the European Championship.
This summer, Erik ten Hag will want to replace Raphael Varane at centre defender, since his contract is about to expire. Jonny Evans’s contract is also expiring, thus his future is unclear.
Nice’s ownership by Sir Jim Ratcliffe would make a trade go far more smoothly than it would with a regular transfer. The player would have to be receptive to the transfer, though, considering that he was insistent about choosing Barcelona over European winners Liverpool five years prior.
Bruno Satin, Todibo’s agent, disclosed to the Italian media which teams had contacted him about a potential 2019 transfer. Cristiano Giuntoli, the director of Napoli, questioned me. However, Leverkusen, Juventus, and Liverpool were present. “But then the boy wanted Barcelona,” he said on the Kiss Kiss radio station.
Although Todibo’s Nice contract does not expire until2027, it is anticipated that he would leave this summer in order to support the club’s financial needs. Regarding his future, the centre half has been evasive, saying in February that “we’re not there yet, but we’ll see what happens in the summer.” I don’t wish to overestimate myself.

Naby Keita SUSPENDED by the new team, leaving them “without a choice”
Naby Keita has been suspended by Werder Bremen for the remainder of the season and fined “substantially” after the team claimed he had left Sunday’s Bundesliga match against Bayer Leverkusen.
The 29-year-old former midfielder for Liverpool was not used in the team’s 5-0 loss at the Bay Arena. According to his club, he made the decision to “go home instead of travelling to the ground with the team” after learning he was not included in the starting lineup.
On the official club website, a statement read, “Naby Keita has been suspended by Werder Bremen until the end of the current campaign.” The midfield player has also received a substantial fine from the team.
The statement also stated that Keita, an international player for Guinea, “will no longer train with the team or be part of the first-team dressing room.”
Clemens Fritz, Bremen’s director of professional football, declared: “As a club, we won’t tolerate Naby’s behaviour.”
“He put his personal interests ahead of the team’s during a difficult period involving our recent run of form and squad availability, letting his team down.” That is not acceptable.
“We need a team that sticks together and complete focus on the remaining games at this point in the season.” That explains why they abandoned us.
“We need a team that sticks together and complete focus on the remaining games at this point in the season.” Because of this, we are without a choice.
With five games remaining, Bremen is only five points above the bottom three, having lost to Leverkusen, who secured the title.
After his contract at Anfield expired last summer, Keita, who had previously spent time in Germany with RB Leipzig, signed a three-year contract as a free agent.
