What summer moves Liverpool would require given that three stars under Jürgen Klopp are “expected” to depart

Jürgen Klopp will be leaving Liverpool this summer, and other first-team players are also anticipated to depart. This is how the summer for the Reds ought to unfold.
After Jürgen Klopp and his backroom staff leave Anfield this summer, Liverpool will have to adjust to yet another phase of transition. The Reds have Richard Hughes as their new sporting director and Michael Edwards returning, and both men will be busy.
Although Klopp’s successor as head coach is yet unknown, Sporting CP manager Rúben Amorim is one of the candidates Liverpool is considering. The most crucial element is that the correct person is picked for the position, even if it would be ideal for the chosen candidate to arrive shortly after the season ends to allow as much time as possible for their plans to be implemented.
After it is resolved, it will be simpler to forecast potential summer transfer market outcomes as they will be certain of the formation and strategies they wish to apply. However, as Joël Matip’s contract is about to expire, strengthening at centre back seems the obvious choice.
When their contracts expire, Thiago Alcântara and custodian Adrián will follow Matip in quitting for nothing, according to Football Insider. Although none of those possible departures would be really shocking, Liverpool will need to organise their summer schedule around them.
Matip hasn’t featured much this season, but Liverpool needs a new defence for two reasons. First of all, the lack of a left-footed alternative would improve the overall balance. Second, considering Ibrahima Konaté’s past injury history, having even more protection for the Frenchman would be helpful.
Although Thiago has not played much this season and Stefan Bajčetić, Bobby Clark, and Ryan Gravenberch will likely play more for Liverpool next season, adding another midfield player may not be a bad idea to provide some additional cover. Likewise, despite having five senior options now and Kaide Gordon and Ben Doak seeking to break out, the Reds’ assault is comparable. However, one more forward can never be a terrible thing, because injuries are a given.
Regarding Adrián, a youthful prospect like Marcelo Pitaluga or Fabian Mrozek might be able to take over the third goalkeeping position. By doing so, there would be no need to enter the market.
According to Liverpool.com, considering that Klopp is leaving, it would be foolish for Liverpool to undergo a major overhaul again in the summer. That enough of a shift without requiring the Reds to add a tonne of new players to their roster.
However, the Champions League comeback will mean something. Due to the increased competition, Liverpool will play two more games, and all eight group matches will be more difficult than those in the current Europa League season. That implies that having more choices in every department will be advantageous for the incoming Liverpool manager. That should be the focal point of the summer transfer plan.
