After Liverpool’s dismal performance in the Merseyside derby on Wednesday, Jürgen Klopp will think about making a number of changes to his team when they play West Ham. With a 2-0 victory at Goodison Park, Sean Dyche’s team dealt a serious blow to Liverpool’s chances of winning the championship.

Jarrad Branthwaite and Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s goals gave the Toffees all three points, and Arsenal currently leads the Reds by three points at the top of the league. With two games remaining against Liverpool before travelling to Brighton on Thursday, Manchester City is just behind in third place.

Liverpool has four games left under Klopp, so their attention will now be on winning back against West Ham. After the derby loss, Klopp’s team may make significant changes, therefore it’s another early kickoff.

Ibrahima Konaté had a forgettable evening at Goodison Park, so the defence did not exactly shine. During the game, Jarell Quansah took his spot, and the young Reds player may make a comeback to the starting lineup.

Andy Robertson might also be substituted following a subpar showing. Joe Gomez and Kostas Tsimikas are both viable choices, but because of his offensive prowess, the Greek international might be chosen.

In another instance, Wataru Endō, a Japanese international, was brought on as a second-half substitution to replace the more aggressive Dominik Szoboszlai. In addition to Harvey Elliott, who might possibly enter the game, Liverpool will need him to guard against West Ham’s offensive options after missing his protection against Everton.

Given his previous form, Cody Gakpo would have probably started at Goodison Park for Liverpool. Klopp did, however, clarify that he would not be involved in his partner’s pregnancy. Portuguese striker Diogo Jota is still out after sustaining another injury last weekend during the 3-1 victory against Fulham. Jota is expected to be sidelined for approximately two weeks due to a knee ailment that he only recently recovered from, while Conor Bradley is still not back.

A possible starting lineup for Liverpool may be: Alisson; Elliott, Mac Allister, Endō; Gakpo, Salah, Díaz; Alexander-Arnold, Quansah, Van Dijk, Tsimikas.
