When Arne Slot joins Liverpool, he will defy Jurgen Klopp’s legacy.

After a deal with Feyenoord was reached, Arne Slot appears to be the man who will succeed Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool the following season, albeit his duties may alter slightly.
As Arne Slot approaches taking over for Jurgen Klopp at Anfield, he is poised to defy Liverpool tradition by taking on a new role.
It appears that the Dutchman will take Klopp’s place in Merseyside. The Reds and his present employers, Feyenoord, have already reached a deal.
Slot will be the first new face in the Anfield dugout in nine years after Liverpool paid a record £9.4 million for his services. Klopp joined the team back in 2015. His remit will appear quite differently, though.
The Times reports that Slot will take over as head coach of the Reds instead of manager, which is Klopp’s current position. As a result, the 45-year-old’s workload will be primarily limited to the training fields.
At first, Klopp had a significant impact on Liverpool’s coaching style. However, after Julian Ward’s departure in recent years, he has assumed a more active role in transfers.
The newly appointed CEO of Fenway Sports Group, Michael Edwards, who is returning, and new sporting director Richard Hughes will both receive reports from the prospective new boss Slot. On Merseyside, he is expected to be joined by Sipke Hulshoff and Ruben Peeters. Liverpool will undoubtedly want Slot to succeed at Anfield as a result of that arrangement.
“I want as many good football players in the team as possible, and I want them to work as hard as possible,” he stated when discussing his coaching philosophies. I think our chances of eliminating luck are higher when we strive daily to improve our routines.
Even before he begins, he seems to have the go-ahead from departing manager Klopp. The German answered, “I didn’t read anything but I was told that Arne said something,” when asked if Slot would take his place.
“I have no involvement with the procedure. I really like that if he is the right person, he wants to accept the position; he’s eager and desperate, so let’s go for it.
“I enjoy his team’s football style and everything I’ve heard about him as a man. While I don’t yet know him, several individuals I know do. Good man, good coach. If he turns out to be the club’s answer, I will be overjoyed. I can’t judge, but everything sounds excellent to me.
Both Klopp and Slot will be looking to leave their respective clubs on a high note. The Dutch Cup champions Feyenoord have three games left to win the season and a Champions League spot.
As the season enters its last three games, Liverpool’s prospects of winning the Premier League title are still alive, but they are rapidly dwindling.
