A Liverpool defender wants to leave Anfield with a Champions League club showing interested

Sepp van den Berg is rumoured to have asked Liverpool to lower their asking price for him so he can depart this summer.

Van den Berg, who announced publicly that he intended to leave Liverpool after spending last season on loan at Mainz, has received an offer from PSV Eindhoven.

PSV is eager to sign the Dutchman, according to Voetbal International, but not at Liverpool’s €20 million asking price.

Van der Berg wants to leave Anfield this summer, and PSV, the winners of the Dutch Eredivisie, is interested in signing him. This is because he probably won’t have many opportunity to play regular first-team games with the Reds next season.

The player’s intentions are now clear as Van den Berg’s reps beg Liverpool to reduce their asking price.

The defender believes the Reds are asking for too much money, especially since he only has two years left on his deal.
