With the return of three Euro 2024 players this week, Arne Slot’s statistics have increased as the Reds get deep into their preseason training this summer.
Liverpool is hard at work getting ready for the 2024–25 campaign, and supporters of the Reds will be happy to see some more well-known players in action at the AXA Training Centre.
Few first-team players were on Arne Slot’s roster at the start of the summer because most of them were involved in international exploits for their nations, but most of them have since made various comebacks.
During the first full week of training, Mohamed Salah was the first of Liverpool’s main players to return. On Tuesday, Dominik Szoboszlai and Andy Robertson returned after their performances at Euro 2024.
As preparations for the forthcoming season heat up, Reds supporters can now view some of the greatest photos from yesterday’s training session. This is what we observed.
Robertson Returns
Liverpool’s left-back After his success with Scotland in Euro 2024, Andrew Robertson officially reported for preseason training. He was beaming when he arrived back at the AXA Training Centre.
Dominik Szoboszlai is back
In addition, fan favourite Dominik Szoboszlai has returned from his Euro 2024 duties with Hungary. He was spotted welcoming teammate Curtis Jones to the gym upon his arrival back in Merseyside, ahead of another demanding preseason.
Arne Slot on the ball
Arne Slot, the team’s new manager, seems to be enjoying his first few weeks in command. He has been actively participating in training sessions to get to know his players and introduce a new style of play.
The balls are out
With a complete bag of balls seemingly emptied onto the training pitches and players looking to be playing 11v11, it appears like activity is in full swing at the AXA Training Centre.
Vitezslav Jaros is bac
Vitezslav Jaros, the custodian for the Czech Republic, was the third player to resume preseason training on Tuesday. He had an uneventful Euro 2024 and worked on a variety of activities on his first day back.
It all about the kids
A number of Liverpool’s youth and U21 players were called up to train with the select group of first-team players during the first few days of preseason; however, it seems that some have stayed on.
proving a point
Kostas Tsimikas (left) and Curtis Jones (right) of the Reds were among the first players back for preseason, giving them more time to make an impression on their new manager before the other players show up.
Furious Slot
Although Slot seems to have been all smiles and cheers over the first several days of preseason, this photo definitely shows otherwise, as he expresses his emotions at Tuesday’s practice.
Keeping pace
Now that most of the Reds team is back together, they can train as a collective, which means everyone will partake in a lot of running and strenuous conditioning exercises.
