Lewis Koumas signs new deal with Liverpool and goes on loan to a Championship club 

The forward for Liverpool, Lewis Koumas, signed a new deal before going out on loan, therefore he will be spending the season acquiring experience in the Championship.

Because of his status as one of Liverpool’s top offensive prospects, Koumas has spent the preseason playing with the first team.

However, the Welshman has been sent out on loan since it seems doubtful that he will make an impact at this point given the calibre of forwards Arne Slot has at his disposal.

The 18-year-old, who had earlier signed a new long-term deal with Liverpool, has joined Stoke City, a Championship team, for the 2024–2025 campaign.

Koumas will be able to expand his experience travelling and playing frequently twice a week in England’s second division by joining Steven Schumacher’s team.

Without an injury crisis, it would not have been available at Liverpool, and Slot will naturally be wanting to avoid that this season.

Last season, Koumas made eight appearances in the matchday squad after emerging under pressure under Jurgen Klopp and scoring on his FA Cup debut against Southampton.

Klopp gave Jayden Danns more chances, probably because of his stronger build, but Koumas has a lot of potential ahead of him.

During the United States trip, Slot played 17 minutes off the bench against Real Betis after playing 30 minutes in the unofficial first friendly of the summer against Preston at the AXA Training Centre.

But now that he is ranked behind players like Fabio Carvalho, Ben Doak, and Harvey Blair, he can focus on improving in the Championship.

While the team begins to take shape, Liverpool confirms a second move under Arne Slot

Liverpool has verified the left-back. Luke Chambers has agreed to spend the season on loan with Wigan Athletic, a team in League One.

Luke Chambers will play the season on loan at Wigan Athletic, according to confirmation from Liverpool. After playing with the Latics for the second half of the previous season, Chambers has temporarily switched to the League One team.

The 20-year-old left-back will pair up with Calvin Ramsay, a Reds teammate who joined Shaun Maloney’s squad earlier in the summer on a season-long loan.

Having played for Liverpool since he was six years old, Chambers made his debut in the first part of the previous campaign before spending eighteen months on loan at Wigan.

After making his first-team Liverpool debut as a late substitute in the team’s September League Cup third-round victory over Leicester City, he went on to start in the team’s October Europa League group victory over Toulouse.

After starting the first game of the previous season as a substitute for the first team twice, Chambers came off the bench against LASK at home. He also made a second start in the 2-1 loss at Union Saint-Gilloise. In all, Chambers was on the bench four times in the Premier League.

During the second half of 2022–2023 the England under–20 international made more impressions while on loan at Kilmarnock, a Scottish Premiership team.

Goalie Fabian Mrozek of the Academy last month went on loan to Swedish team IF Brommapojkarna, with a term of January.
