This transfer window, Liverpool has not yet added a player, but that may soon change.
In fact, the Merseyside club is intensifying their pursuit of another target even though Martin Zubimendi has just set the Reds back.
Giorgi Mamardashvili is a target for Liverpool from Valencia, and Fabrizio Romano says that the transaction is currently moving in the correct manner.
Giorgi Mamardashvili and Liverpool reach a personal agreement
Giorgi Mamardashvili and Liverpool have reportedly reached a personal terms agreement, according to Romano.
The ‘excellent’ goalkeeper is prepared to join the Reds before heading on summer loan to another team.
The Georgian goalkeeper is reportedly Bournemouth’s loan target, and following his loan stint, he’s expected to take Alisson’s place.
🚨🔴 Liverpool have agreed personal terms with Giorgi Mamardashvili. He’s keen on the move even spending one or two years elsewhere on loan.
Bournemouth open to signing him, then he’d become #LFC new GK after Alisson.

Naturally, Alisson is perhaps the best goalkeeper in the world at the moment, so it makes sense that Liverpool would prefer not to start Mamardashvili right away.
But, given that Alisson is rumoured to be moving to Saudi Arabia, Mamardashvili might be able to find a position in a few years.
Giorgi Mamardashvili might be the Thibaut Courtois of Liverpool
It’s not a bad idea at all to sign a backup goalkeeper years in advance of your preferred choice.
Yes, we have seen this tactic used rather well in the past.
Chelsea signed Thibaut Courtois to replace Petr Cech, and the Belgian was prepared to step in after spending a few years on loan at Atletico Madrid. Mamardashvili will follow the same path at Liverpool, and given his recent Valencia performances, he is undoubtedly qualified to eventually replace Alisson.
It is unclear what this means for Caoimhin Kelleher, but given his dismal long-term chances at Anfield, it wouldn’t be shocking if the Irishman was on the move soon.

Liverpool has verified the left-back. Luke Chambers has agreed to spend the season on loan with Wigan Athletic, a team in League One.
Luke Chambers will play the season on loan at Wigan Athletic, according to confirmation from Liverpool. After playing with the Latics for the second half of the previous season, Chambers has temporarily switched to the League One team.
The 20-year-old left-back will pair up with Calvin Ramsay, a Reds teammate who joined Shaun Maloney’s squad earlier in the summer on a season-long loan.
Having played for Liverpool since he was six years old, Chambers made his debut in the first part of the previous campaign before spending eighteen months on loan at Wigan.
After making his first-team Liverpool debut as a late substitute in the team’s September League Cup third-round victory over Leicester City, he went on to start in the team’s October Europa League group victory over Toulouse.
After starting the first game of the previous season as a substitute for the first team twice, Chambers came off the bench against LASK at home. He also made a second start in the 2-1 loss at Union Saint-Gilloise. In all, Chambers was on the bench four times in the Premier League.
During the second half of 2022–2023 the England under–20 international made more impressions while on loan at Kilmarnock, a Scottish Premiership team.
Goalie Fabian Mrozek of the Academy last month went on loan to Swedish team IF Brommapojkarna, with a term of January.
