Liverpool will compete with Tottenham to sign the £50 million transfer target

Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham, has bolstered his midfield and offence this summer.

Among other players, Spurs have managed to bring in midfielder Archie Grey from Leeds United and striker Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth.

They have given Tottenham the strength and depth they needed to contend for a spot in the top four of the Premier League this year. They made these additions to the squad this summer.

The North Londoners are reportedly interested in signing a defensive player, but Liverpool and Bayern Munich will likely put up a fierce fight for the player’s services.

Diario Expreso (quoted by Liverpool Echo) claims that Tottenham is considering a move for Piero Hincapie, the defender for Bayer Leverkusen.

It has been communicated to the Premier League team and all other interested clubs that a £50 million offer would be required in order to recruit the player this summer.

Spurs have enough centre backs for the upcoming season with Radu Dragusin serving as the backup option and Cristian Romero and Mickey van de Ven as the first choice.

Ben Davies, a left-back, has additionally demonstrated his ability to play centre defence when called upon.

Spurs are still hoping to sign the player, who is a left- and centre-back in addition to that.

More than a defender, Tottenham needs a wide attacker.

The manager of Bayer Leverkusen, Xabi Alonso, is keen to keep the defender on staff and believes the only way the defender would be allowed to leave the German champions this summer is if he receives a sizable financial offer.

Sepp Van Den Berg is allegedly on the verge of being sold by Liverpool.
