Jurgen Klopp has a new role.

Five months after bidding an emotional farewell to Anfield, the cherished former Liverpool manager has accepted the position of head of global soccer at Red Bull. This move has sparked controversy due to Red Bull’s ongoing unpopularity in German football. Although the announcement was made on Wednesday, the agreement has been in place longer than initially believed.

Meanwhile, Liverpool forward Diogo Jota has taken advantage of the international break to pursue interests beyond football by collaborating with his former club Porto. Additionally, right-back Conor Bradley has discussed his position under Arne Slot.

Klopp accepted Red Bull job while still at Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp’s transition to Red Bull has been in the works for two years. The former Liverpool manager revealed on Wednesday that he will start his new role in January. It has now come to light that he agreed to this move in 2022 for a meaningful reason.

According to the German outlet TZ, Klopp attended a private meeting in Salzburg with Red Bull co-founder Dietrich Mateschitz, who was terminally ill at the time. Mateschitz personally persuaded Klopp to join Red Bull, but he passed away just a few weeks later at the age of 78.

Liverpool forward Diogo Jota has formed a partnership with his former club Porto in the eSports arena. The 27-year-old played for Porto on loan during the 2016-17 season before moving to Wolves.

Now, he has aligned his eSports team, Luna, with Porto. Luna competes in popular games like EA Sports FC, Dota 2, and Rocket League.

Bradley refutes Liverpool speculation

Conor Bradley believes there isn’t much distinction between his responsibilities at Liverpool and for Northern Ireland, despite playing a more attacking role for his national team. Northern Ireland manager Michael O’Neil counts on the 21-year-old as his sole Premier League player, assigning him the task of advancing the play.

When asked before their match against Belarus if he feels additional pressure while representing his country, Bradley stated, “It’s different, but it’s similar as well. When I play for Liverpool, I’m almost playing as a right winger sometimes because we usually have most of the possession in games, so I’m quite high up, trying to create chances for the strikers.”
