Anis Hadj Moussa may be joining Liverpool this summer.

Reports suggest that Liverpool are in active talks with the representatives of Feyenoord winger Anis Hadj Moussa regarding a potential transfer to the club under manager Arne Slot.

Slot has led his team to a remarkable position in his first season, with Liverpool sitting six points clear at the top of the Premier League and having maintained a perfect record in the Champions League. The manager has done wonders with a squad largely inherited from Jurgen Klopp, with only Federico Chiesa being signed, although he has barely featured so far.

Slot could further elevate Liverpool with the right reinforcements, and one potential addition could come from his former club, Feyenoord, where the players are likely well acquainted with his style of play.

According to Africa Foot, Liverpool are leading the race to sign Feyenoord winger Hadj Moussa. This follows an earlier report claiming that Slot is a big admirer of his. The Reds have reportedly not abandoned the idea of signing Hadj Moussa, and while his arrival in January seems unlikely, a deal could be finalized in the summer.

It is believed that Liverpool are in discussions with Hadj Moussa’s representatives and are planning to secure a deal worth €12million (£10.1m/$12.5m) for the summer transfer window.

Hadj Moussa could become Slot’s first signing from Feyenoord

While Liverpool were linked with several Feyenoord players when Slot first took over, no signings were made at the time. Therefore, Hadj Moussa could be the first player he targets from his former club.

However, the winger wasn’t at Feyenoord during Slot’s tenure, as the manager left for Liverpool in June 2024, and Hadj Moussa only joined the club a month later. Despite this, Slot has evidently continued to monitor his former team, and Hadj Moussa is likely to fit in well at Anfield should he make the move.

Liverpool news roundup: TAA may stay Although reports have suggested that Trent Alexander-Arnold is close to agreeing on a deal with Real Madrid, another source claims there is still “some distance” before anything is finalized.

Mohamed Salah, whose contract expires at the end of the season, has given a playful response when asked if he can score another 50 European goals for the club, saying: “I’m not sure about that, but I’ll give it my best!”

Meanwhile, a new report reveals that Liverpool are the leading contenders to sign Newcastle forward Alexander Isak, having shown the most interest. Additionally, the Reds have been advised to sell Darwin Nunez if a lucrative offer comes in for the striker.
