As the January transfer season draws to an end, the most recent Liverpool transfer rumours include updates on Teun Koopmeiners, Bilal El Khannouss, and Antonio Rudiger.
The victory over Bournemouth allowed Liverpool to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League standings.
Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota each scored two goals on Sunday as the Vitality Stadium hosted a 4-0 victory. The Reds now lead second-place Manchester City by five points at the top of the league rankings.
There is now just one Premier League match left for Jurgen Klopp’s club before the transfer window shuts. A little more than twenty-four hours before the window closes, on January 31, Liverpool will meet Chelsea at Anfield.
Even though Liverpool hasn’t added any players to its roster in the first three weeks of the transfer season, reports about them are still circulating. In light of this, the ECHO has compiled the most recent rumours regarding prospective signings to Klopp’s team.
Rudiger Antonio
Antonio Rudiger, a defender for Real Madrid, may join Liverpool in the summer, according to reports.
Rudiger is reportedly in the running for a new deal from the La Liga powerhouses, but he hasn’t heard back from them yet. According to reports, Liverpool is one of the teams that have made an approach for the former Chelsea centre back.
It has been reported that Rudiger is open to considering Liverpool’s offer. Additionally, the article states that Rudiger has been mentioned as a possible center-back that the Reds are searching for to partner with Virgil van Dijk.
Teun Koopmeiners
According to reports, Teun Koopmeiners, an Atalanta midfielder, is a target for Liverpool.
La Gazzetta Dello Sport, an Italian news source, reports via FourFourTwo that the Reds are eager to add Koopmeiners to their roster in the forthcoming summer transfer window. There have been rumours that Liverpool would have to spend around £40 million to seal the deal.
There have also been rumours that Koopmeiners is being courted by Newcastle United. There have been rumours that Atalanta would rather work with Newcastle or Liverpool than a Serie A competitor.
Bilal El Khannouss
Bilal El Khannouss, a midfield player for Genk, is reportedly being targeted by Liverpool.
The Daily Mail claims that the Reds are one of several teams interested in signing the gifted 19-year-old. El Khannouss is being considered by Liverpool, Atletico Madrid, and Bayer Leverkusen.
With 34 games for Genk this season, the adolescent player, who has three Morocco caps, has three goals and five assists.

Liverpool has Jeremie Frimpong on their radar.
According to sources who spoke to Football Insider, Liverpool is one of the teams keeping an eye on Bayer Leverkusen wing-back Jeremie Frimpong’s condition.
Aston Villa is interested in the 23-year-old, and if they qualify for the Champions League, they may make him a realistic target, according to a report published by Football Insider on Tuesday, January 9.
After his outstanding Bundesliga achievements for Leverkusen, Frimpong is rumoured to be coveted by both Man United and Arsenal.
The growing interest in the Netherlands international ahead of a potential transition at the end of the 2023–24 season is known to Xabi Alonso’s team.
The Netherlands international is expected to become available through a release clause valued at approximately £35 million later this year.
Throughout the 2023–24 season, Frimpong—a former star for both Celtic and Man City—has played only on the right flank of a 3–4–3 formation. He is under contract in Germany until June 2028.
In his 22 appearances in all competitions this season, he has managed seven goals and ten assists.
After signing with Leverkusen in January 2021, the right-footer has played 117 games for the team, scoring 18 goals and dishing out 30 assists.
Liverpool is considering promoting Trent Alexander-Arnold to a more regular midfield position while they contemplate making a move for a new right-back.
In recent seasons, Alexander-Arnold’s backup has been Joe Gomez, a traditional center-back.
The 23-year-old is also being sought after by Arsenal and Manchester United, who may enter the hunt for his signature during the summer transfer window once concerns about Financial Fair Play are allayed
