Galatasaray is preparing a last-minute bid for Andrew Robertson, a defensive stalwart for Liverpool.
Throughout the summer transfer window, the Turkish powerhouses have been extremely active. In an effort to win the Super League again, they wish to strengthen their team. Although they have already signed Gabriel Sara, Elias Jelert, and Michy Batshuayi to their roster, manager Okan Buruk has stated that there may be a few more changes made before the transfer window closes.
Aspor has reported that Galatasaray is considering a move to sign Andrew Robertson, a beloved player among Liverpool supporters. The Scottish international is wanted by the Premier League’s biggest teams, since the Turkish heavyweights believe they lack sufficient quality at left-back.
It makes sense that they have Robertson on their wish list given that Derrick Köhn is the only reliable left-back in their lineup. With Liverpool, the 30-year-old has won everything since joining the team in 2017. Having played in nearly 300 games for the Reds, he has been a pillar of the team.
Andy Robertson is still an important player
Despite being limited to just 30 games due to injury last season, the Scottish full-back is still a vital member of Arne Slot’s first squad. However, with just two years remaining on his contract, the yellow-reds are preparing to move up to sign Robertson.
Although they may be hoping to sign him for a low cost, they are unlikely to let him go unless they receive an offer that is too good to refuse considering his significance to the Liverpool team. Despite the interest from the Turkish giants, he is a highly popular character among the supporters of the Merseyside club, who will be hoping to see him sprint down the left wing for them during the 2024–25 season.

“Discussions have begun”: The writer from Sky Sports recently learnt about the 22-year-old Liverpool defensive target
If Liverpool wants to sign Willian Pacho, a rumoured target, this summer, they might need to act quickly.
This is due to the fact that PSG is reportedly “exploring” the possibility of signing the Frankfurt defender this summer.
According to Florian Plettenberg on X (previously Twitter), negotiations over a move have already started, indicating that the French company’s interest is “solid.”

The Independent’s Miguel Delaney revealed last week that the Reds had a long-standing interest in the Ecuadorian.
What specific centre-back does Liverpool need?
The fact that Sepp van den Berg and Jarell Quansah were frequently selected to start as the left and right centre backs, respectively, during the preseason may be fairly telling.
To be honest, we haven’t had players like Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, or Ibrahima Konate for significant chunks of this time.
However, could the former Charlton Athletic prospect, our No. 78, and our French international be seen to have sufficiently reinforced the right centre-back position?
This is a challenging topic to answer because we don’t yet know if the latter will be viewed as an all-around center-half or maintain the utility man pattern from the previous season. Similar doubts exist over Konate’s fitness.
That’s not even taking into account the glaring absence of coverage for Van Dijk on the left side.
