A significant release clause in Jurgen Klopp’s succession plan could be avoided by Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp has led Liverpool to enormous success, but they may have found the perfect person to take his position. In Germany, Xabi Alonso is doing well.

Liverpool will be preparing for life after Jurgen Klopp leaves, but if the stars align, they may be able to acquire one of the most promising young coaches in Europe.

Former Champions League champion Xabi Alonso of the Reds is presently breaking records with Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga. With 10 victories from their first eleven games, his team leads the table, and the Spaniard is already being connected to more important positions.

He has experience playing in Europe with Leverkusen, and Real Madrid, who is looking to replace Carlo Ancelotti, is taking an interest in his accomplishments. But Leverkusen has defended itself in front of advances, and according to SDZ, Alonso has a release clause worth between €15 million and €18 million.

Alonso has a deal with the Germans that allows him to go if Liverpool, Real Madrid, or Bayern come knocking as long as they pay the huge transfer cost. However, Alonso’s contract expires in the summer of 2026, concurrently with Klopp’s term.

Under Klopp, Liverpool has demonstrated no desire to let him go or alter their strategies, and the German coach once more has the Merseysiders in position to contend for championships. He will have spent more than ten years at Anfield by the time his contract expires, so he might be open to switching.

Jurgen Klopp has led Liverpool to enormous success, but they may have found the perfect person to take his position.

Alonso might then be able to take over as there aren’t any other apparent contenders at this time. Because of his affiliation with the team, the Spaniard will gain favour with the supporters, and by then, his stock might have increased even more.

“I really loved it and a great cause, great atmosphere, best stadium in the world,” Alonso said when he visited the club again the previous year to participate in a legends event. Amazing day. Anfield is not the same. You have beautiful stadiums with amazing atmospheres all over the world, Champions League nights, but this is Anfield. It’s unique and entirely football-related—the spirit, the stands, the lights, etc. We like it so much as players, fans, and visitors because of this.

Real, though, might be prepared to take action before 2026 arrives. They have bought managers out of contracts twice before, most notably with Ancelotti, so they are by no means timid in this regard. There aren’t many names available right now, which might compel them to take a stand.

The German national team is now coached by Julian Nagelsmann, but they may also take into consideration club legend Raul, who is currently in charge of the Madrid B team.

Premier League rule to fulfil promise to Harvey Elliott

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has reportedly ‘broken’ Premier League rules to keep his promise to midfielder Harvey Elliott.

Klopp’s managerial skills are one of his best qualities as a manager, with many players saying they enjoy playing under him.
In an interview with Sky Sports in 2020, Manchester United legend Gary Neville revealed that, apart from Sir Alex Ferguson, the manager he would most like to play under in his career is the German.

Klopp has turned Liverpool into perennial title contenders since arriving at Anfield in 2015.
Last season was a remarkable one.
He led Manchester United to the Premier League title in 2020, a year after beating Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 to win his sixth Champions League title.

Klopp used a consistent line-up in 2019/20, with six players playing more than 35 of the 38 games.
Roberto Firmino, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold were always there.

This meant that although some of the younger members of the squad, including Curtis Jones and Neko Williams, made the five appearances required to win a Premier League medal, other players had limited opportunities.
However, Harvey Elliott played just two games this season and was ineligible for a medal.

But the midfielder said Klopp had “broken” Premier League rules and confirmed he will receive a medal to mark his incredible season.
In an interview with the Liverpool Echo, Elliott explained: “I’m not sure if it’s [Klopp’s] medal.
It could have been Klopp’s medal but I ended up winning it.

“After the parade and presentation, I went into the locker room and they gave it to me.
“I can’t put into words how I felt.
I felt really good and I could say to my mom and dad: [I have a medal! I have a medal!” I sent a photo.

“They were down too so we went and looked around and had a little party.
“I felt really good.”
