A star from Arsenal is expected to surprisely join Liverpool—”there’s an opportunity”

Liverpool is urged to recruit an Arsenal goalkeeper as a potential successor for second custodian Caoimhin Kelleher, who could leave the team this summer.
It has been suggested that Liverpool should make a surprise approach for Aaron Ramsdale, the goalkeeper for Arsenal, as the club may need to recruit a new custodian this summer.
This summer, Liverpool is probably going to make a few moves in the transfer market, but goalkeepers aren’t at the top of the new sporting director Richard Hughes’ and coach Arne Slot’s priority lists. Alisson Becker is still the team’s top player and isn’t expected to be traded this summer, despite rumours that the Saudi Pro League may be interested in signing him.
Caoimhin Kelleher, the club’s number two, might have an issue. Since graduating into the first team squad in 2019, the Irishman has been Alisson’s secondary player, and it’s acknowledged that Kelleher is too good to be a number two at this point in his career.
When Alisson was sidelined for several months due to an injury last season, Kelleher, who is now 25 years old, had his first taste of playing regularly for Liverpool. Kelleher finished the season with 26 points across all competitions, with 10 starts in the league.
If Kelleher decides to leave Anfield this summer, according to former Leeds and Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson, Liverpool should consider after Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale. After making just six Premier League appearances the previous season, Ramsdale lost his spot in the starting lineup to David Raya.
“Kelleher has the chance to go and be a number one with Alisson if he leaves Liverpool.
“Considering how many games Kelleher has played this year in comparison to Ramsdale, there’s a chance for him to get more playing time and establish himself.
“Aaron Ramsdale needs to play and get somewhere.” At Arsenal, he’s received tough treatment. I believe that [Mikel] Arteta handled the matter incorrectly.
Ramsdale joined Arsenal in 2021 and spent his first two seasons as the team’s indisputable number one. However, given that Alisson isn’t slowing down, it’s unclear if he could unseat the Brazilian for the top slot.
After travelling with the Republic of Ireland, Kelleher gave a press conference where he said, “I’m at that stage in my career where I need to make that next step and play week in and week out so I think that’s all it was, really, a reflection on the season and my ambitions going forward.” The goal now is to play regular first team football.
According to Liverpool.com, Ramsdale is currently ranked second at Arsenal, but he would be in the same position if he joined Liverpool. Kelleher may also leave Anfield because Alisson is the best player there and won’t be replaced.
