According to Sources: Bayern Munich prepared to go for Fulham star Palhinha as door opens for Liverpool to sign Gravenberch
Bayern Munich are considering signing Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha as they prepare to offload Liverpool target Ryan Gravenberch, sources have told Football Insider.

Bayern are keen to sign a new defensive midfielder before the window closes and Thomas Tuchel is a big fan of the Portuguese star.

The German giants would use the funds from the Gravenberch sale project to buy Palhina.

Football Insider revealed on Friday August 25 that Liverpool could make a further move for Gravenberch, valued at £30million, as the pursuit of Cheick Doucour eases.

Palhinha has already been linked with a move to West Ham this summer to replace Declan Rice, but the Hammers felt the Fulham star was too expensive. The 28-year-old recovered from a shoulder injury he suffered in pre-season and came on as a substitute in Fulham’s 3-0 defeat at Brentford on Saturday.

He was a vital figure for the Cottagers last season, making 40 appearances in all competitions as Fulham secured tenth place in the Premier League and a quarter-final in the FA Cup.

Palhinha proved to be one of the best defensive midfielders in his debut season in England, winning the Premier League in tackles made in 2022/23 with 147-47 over second-placed Moises Caicedo.

He completed a £20million move to Fulham in the summer of 2022, but the London outfit could get a huge return on their investment just a year later.
