Liverpool injury news on Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konate, Thiago Alcantara and others.
Liverpool are off to an encouraging start to the 2023/24 season.
The Reds took ten points from their opening four games and ended the international break with an impressive 3-0 win over Aston Villa.
Jürgen Klopp will be really pleased with what he has seen so far and he will know that there is much more to come.
However, for the next week he will be praying that none of his players representing their country get injured.
Liverpool will use the break of the season to address some of their current fitness issues at Anfield.
Ahead of the trip to Wolves on Saturday 16 September, here’s a look at the current injury situation.
2.Thiago Alcantara – hip
He hasn’t played for Liverpool since April after undergoing surgery.
Thiago has suffered a setback in his recovery recently, but Klopp is hoping the break is “enough” for the midfielder to return to action.
Possible Second Game: Possible Second Game: Wolves (A), Sat 16 Sep.
3. Jarell Quansah – unknown
The young defender has come off the bench in Liverpool’s last two games.
It came as a surprise that he pulled out of the England U20s and hopefully he just has a small problem.
Likely return: Wolves (A), Sat 16 Sep.
4. Trent Alexander-Arnold – hamstrings
He equalized in the win against Aston Villa and retired from England.
It is suggested that he will be sidelined for two weeks.
Possible return: West Ham (H), Sun Sept
