Liverpool transfer news: Jürgen Klopp may acquire a $49 million wonderkid who has shown tremendous promise this season, while another accusation regarding Kylian Mbappé has surfaced.
It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that Liverpool now has to improve in two areas of the game. It was made clear once more on Thursday during the Europa League loss to Toulouse.
Kostas Tsimikas was sent off for a careless goal at halftime, and Wataru Endō managed to avoid a red card despite having three potential yellow card infractions. Naturally, Andy Robertson and Alexis Mac Allister play such positions for Liverpool, but they don’t seem to have many options for defensive midfielders or left-sided defenders (who can also play center-back).
Finding a replacement for Mohamed Salah may eventually be necessary, but Liverpool needs to put off having that discussion as long as they can. The Egyptian striker continues to be Jürgen Klopp’s top forward and most dependable goal supplier.
However, connections to Kylian Mbappé, who can challenge Salah for the title of most lethal wide attacker in the world, are still surfacing. Furthermore, his is not the only name that has surfaced as a potential 2024 Liverpool possibility. This is Liverpool.com’s assessment of the most recent transfer rumours circulating about the Reds.
Kylian Mbappe (PSG).
Football Insider has reported that Liverpool is ‘expected to be in the mix’ to complete Mbappé’s free transfer move next summer. claimed comes after earlier this week reports from Spanish publication Cadena SAR claimed Real Madrid was having financial difficulties making a move for the Frenchman.
Even though it is highly doubtful, there has been talk that Liverpool may be a candidate in place of Mbappé despite the La Liga powerhouse allegedly believing he would be too expensive. The PSG player’s Ligue 1 contract is about to expire, but he would be anything but ‘free’.
According to Liverpool.com, Mbappé presently makes approximately four times as much as Salah, which is the kind of compensation we’re talking about. Liverpool has very little chance of being able to afford a transfer.
The ideal situation would be for Real Madrid to sign him, which still seems like the most likely thing to happen. It would not be ideal for Mbappé to sign with a Premier League competitor. It would be terrifying if Manchester City were to add him to their roster.
Archie Grey (Leeds United)
Archie Grey, a 17-year-old Leeds star, could fetch $49 million (£40 million/€46 million) from Liverpool next summer, according to the Daily Mail. Because of his versatility as a right-back and midfielder, Grey has emerged as one of the Championship’s most impressive players this year, drawing comparisons to Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Everton and Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in signing Grey as well. Grey earned his first-team debut this season and has since established himself as a regular under Daniel Farke. Leeds might not want to let go, but the youth might outgrow the second division fast. The contract he now has will end in 2025.
According to Liverpool.com; seems like a really talented player, but Liverpool has a history of bringing in players before their prices skyrocket. An investment of around $50 million in a 17-year-old player would be risky and inconsistent with Liverpool’s prior commercial practises. Those who arrived at a similar age as Bobby Clark and Ben Doak did not have such a high valuation.

Expert: Liverpool’s demand for Mohamed Salah will be “100%” accepted; “it’s happening.”
Mohamed Salah moving from Liverpool to Saudi Arabia in 2024 is “inevitable,” according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former striker for Aston Villa stated that while Jurgen Klopp won’t be pleased to lose him, it might be “good business” for the Merseysiders.
Monday, October 30, Football Insider reported that despite continued Saudi interest, Liverpool will not sell their 31-year-old top player, Mohamed Salah, in January.
The Saudi Pro League is reportedly working behind the scenes to recruit forward and Man City star Kevin De Bruyne to the Middle East in the summer of 2024, insiders have also told Football Insider.
With 13 games played across all competitions, Salah has recorded 10 goals and four assists to start the 2023–24 campaign in customary fashion.
His alleged £350,000-per-week deal is scheduled to end in June 2025.
Agbonlahor said, “I do see Mo Salah in Saudi Arabia, 100%,” to Ewan Kingsbury of Football Insider.
“He is going to be the player with the biggest salary. It does occur, and I observe it during the summer.
“There will be one year remaining on his contract, and Liverpool will be aware of this and able to find a replacement.”
“I don’t believe Liverpool is motivated by money. With the requested fee, customers will receive anything they want.
Even though Klopp won’t want to part with him, it’s possible that he’ll be granted the money to find a younger replacement.
“Whether Salah’s legs will begin to fail in the upcoming years is unknown. In my opinion, it would be wise for business to let him depart in 2024.
