Andre, who is he? A midfielder from Fluminense and Brazil is now Liverpool’s latest transfer target.

After losing six midfielders this summer, Jurgen Klopp is ready to bolster his team with another one, and Andre is the newest name to be connected to a transfer to Anfield.

Andre, a player currently playing for Fluminense, may be available this summer, according to Liverpool.

After Jordan Henderson and Fabinho recently left the team to join the Saudi Pro League, Jurgen Klopp is eager to add another midfielder to his group. Following the expiration of their contracts, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita, and James Milner left the Reds in June, while Arthur went back on loan to Juventus.

Despite the arrival of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, Klopp is optimistic that Liverpool can do more to strengthen their lineup before the start of the new campaign. The Reds are considering signing Romeo Lavia, but it may be challenging to reach an agreement with Southampton after Liverpool had a £41 million offer for the Belgian rejected right away.

Defensive midfielder Andre, who plays with his right foot, grew up idolizing the tenacious Felipe Melo, who played in Europe for Racing Santander, Almeria, Fiorentina, Juventus, Galatasaray, and Inter Milan.

The Fluminense star, however, is very different from his hero and a more technical player who plays just in front of the back four but has a wide range of passing options.

With a height of 5’7, Andre is not the tallest, but he is strong and skilled at winning tackles. Additionally, he is a strong ball carrier who excels at moving the ball into the final third. Over the past year, he has completed 1 point 7 progressive take-ons per 90 minutes.

Andre could offer the Reds something different because their squad currently lacks someone with that level of box-to-box vigor. The fact that Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota are also represented by Jorge Mendes’ agency gives the Reds an advantage in their potential pursuit of Andre.
