Arne Slot says that the Liverpool star who began against Ipswich is doubtful for Sunday due to injury

Before the Reds’ match against Brentford this coming weekend, Jarell Quansah is listed as doubtful due to an injury, according to Liverpool coach Arne Slot.
The centre defender was injured during Tuesday’s practise and was unable to return to the field the following day.
The 21-year-old defender is a major doubt for the Merseyside club’s opening home game of the season against Brentford on Sunday after he was not seen practicing with the rest of his teammates on Friday.
throughout his news conference on Friday morning, Arne Slot revealed that Quansah had sustained an injury throughout the week. He added that they will determine on Friday whether he can play in the game on the weekend.
Paul Gorst reported that the Dutch coach stated, “On Tuesday he picked up a bit of an injury and couldn’t train Wednesday, let’s see today.”
Jarell Quansah of Liverpool had an injury at a very bad moment
The timing of Quansah’s injury is awful, given last Saturday’s match against Ipswich Town saw Slot substitute the centre defender because he felt he lost too many duels.
The Dutch coach’s choice has raised some questions about the 21-year-old’s chances of starting alongside Virgil van Dijk for the season, despite his impressive preseason play. The England player would have preferred to respond quickly by giving a fantastic performance against Brentford, but his setback in fitness prevents him from doing so at this time.
Quansah is more than capable of learning what Slot expects from him during the course of the lengthy season. Together, they will work on his game over the next several weeks, and before long, the centre back will be back in the starting lineup.

David Ornstein’s report on Sepp van den Berg may have left Liverpool in dire need of defensive reinforcements.
The Dutchman is now more likely than ever to leave the team before the summer transfer window closes, joining fellow Reds center-half Joel Matip in doing so.
Following the commencement of the 2024–25 league season, the Merseysiders find themselves tip-toeing over broken glass amid continuous rumours about Joe Gomez.
Marc Guehi of Crystal Palace is one answer that can ease the pain of a lot of the supporters. Newcastle’s opponents are reportedly very interested in the Eagles’ defensive anchor, but the Express is now claiming that there’s a “feeling” that Liverpool’s Arne Slot’s team “could strike late in the window” for the Englishman.
This summer, will Marc Guehi be signed by Liverpool?
This comes after a flurry of recent reports that seem to validate our “appreciation” for the 24-year-old, which is intriguing to us.
With us likely to receive an additional £20 million or more for Sepp van den Berg and considering our minimal engagement in the window thus far—aside from a recent move for Giorgi Mamardashvili—there ought to be sufficient funds in the bank to support a move. Naturally, Guehi won’t be inexpensive.
After leading England to the final of the European Championship, the defender’s current club has rated him at an astounding £70 million.
The Palace player completed 20/28 long passes he tried in Germany, registering an amazing 92.67% pass accuracy rate along with 44 recoveries.
