This summer, there have been rumours about Justin Bijlow, the goalkeeper from the Netherlands, moving to the Premier League. Arsenal and Liverpool are apparently interested in signing him.
Recent sources suggest that Arne Slot, the new manager of Liverpool, is eager to bring Bijlow to Anfield. Recently transferred from Feyenoord, Slot sees Bijlow as the perfect backup to Alisson Becker.
Although Caoimhin Kelleher has excelled in that role over the past few seasons, it is anticipated that he will quit the team this summer in order to pursue regular first team opportunities abroad.
Similar to Newcastle, Arsenal is rumoured to be searching for a backup goalkeeper, with Aaron Ramsdale being linked to a summer transfer. Bijlow is supposedly another player who the Gunners are considering to replace Ramsdale.
In response to these links, the Feyenoord custodian has now stated that he is gratified by these elite clubs’ interest.
Bijlow’s reaction to the Premier League connections Speaking to the Dutch publication Voetbalzone, he responded as follows when questioned about the connections with the Premier League’s elite clubs:
“Those two clubs are really pleasant.”
Naturally, it’s wonderful to be acknowledged at prestigious clubs. To put it simply, I have ambitions. I will give it my all to play for Feyenoord, but first and foremost, I want to concentrate on the Dutch squad.
Additionally, he declined to rule out a summer move, stating:
“Shall I remain at Feyenoord?” I mean, you never know. Football is that. That is unknown to you.
As I’ve always said, I’m ambitious. I’m willing to consider it if the chance arises and a decent club arrives from overseas. It’s what I’ve always said.
The advantage of Liverpool over Arsenal.
If Liverpool were to actually try to sign Arne Slot, they would have a significant advantage against Arsenal.
Given that managers frequently favour signing players they know, Slot’s prior collaboration with Bijlow at Feyenoord may be a significant factor in the goalkeeper’s choice.

Jurgen Klopp “rejects” his first job offer following Liverpool’s departure.
The opportunity to quickly return to the spotlight before taking a vacation from football was turned down by the former manager of Liverpool.
ITV is supposedly leading the fight to sign Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou as a commentator for this summer’s European Championships in Germany, despite reports that the channel was unsuccessful in its quest to get Jurgen Klopp.
After receiving a no from Klopp, the broadcasters are believed to have outwitted the BBC to the Spurs boss. As he starts his hiatus from football, the former manager of Liverpool will instead watch the competition as a fan, according to the Daily Mail.
After spending eight and a half seasons at Liverpool and twenty-three years managing the team, the German has declared that he will take a year-long break from the game. Klopp had explained his unexpected departure from Liverpool as the result of running out of energy.
The 56-year-old has experience as a commentator, having covered the 2008 European Championship, the World Cups in 2006 and 2010 for German media. Following his farewell to Anfield, Klopp announced on his recently established Instagram account, “Kloppo,” that he will be taking a summer vacation.
Postecoglou, who was once speculatively slated to succeed Klopp at Liverpool, will appear on television this summer. Since joining the Spurs last summer, the Australian has displayed a captivating personality, and his questioning style has won him accolades.
The Mail also reports that BBC Radio 5 Live has signed former Everton defender and graduate of the Liverpool academy Conor Coady for the Euros. Despite not playing in either of the last two major tournaments, Coady was a member of the England team.
In addition to Gary Neville, who was employed by the company for the previous tournament in 2021 and may be back this time, Roy Keane and Ian Wright, who made their farewell appearances on Match of the Day on Sunday, are anticipated to join ITV’s punditry coverage for the competition.
