Arsenal’s midfielder’s exit is “considered” by Liverpool following Jürgen Klopp’s advice.

Jürgen Klopp went on to commend the Arsenal midfielder who Liverpool ‘considered’ a proposition for last summer. He is going to be available during the transfer window.
Liverpool’s hiring department got a makeover. Michael Edwards has been reappointed by FSG as CEO of Football, and he has begun to fill several related roles.
Julian Ward, another re-entering role, will take on the role of technical director. David Woodfine, who will report to new recruit Richard Hughes, will serve as assistant sporting director, rounding out the roster of former employees who have been persuaded to return.
Because of this, transfer policy will be determined by a variety of factors, including the suggestions made by the incoming manager Arne Slot. After almost nine years in charge, Jürgen Klopp’s influence over hiring decisions has undoubtedly diminished. But, given that the midfielder is now expected to be available on the market, Liverpool may go back and review the compliments he bestowed onto one Arsenal player this season.
During the campaign, Albert Sambi Lokonga was loaned to Luton Town. And when Klopp found out Arsenal had decided to let him go, albeit temporarily, he showed shock.
“When you watch Lokonga play and you figure, ‘Oh, he’s an Arsenal guy, and they loaned him?’ Interesting,” Klopp remarked in February prior to Liverpool’s match against Luton. That game, the Reds would overcome a deficit to win 4-1.
FurthermoreArsenal’s midfielder’s exit is “considered” by Liverpool following Jürgen Klopp’s advice., Sambi Lokonga and Liverpool have a longer history together. The Daily Express believes he was offered to the Reds last summer before he moved to Luton, and they ‘considered’ the deal.
Arsenal has agreed to allow Edwards to go this summer, so Edwards and the team will have a fresh look at the 24-year-old. He’s had discussions with the club, and the Standard reports that ‘all’ sides have decided it’s best for him to move on permanently.
Luton is eager to hold onto Sambi Lokonga, who cost $19 million (£15 million/€18 million) when he first joined Arsenal from Anderlecht. Though’slim’ after being relegated from the Premier League, it is expected to attract interest from elite teams.
According to Liverpool.com, Sambi Lokonga is a solid but unspectacular player, and Liverpool might realistically pursue him if the price was right. However, Arsenal won’t be willing to just hand away the Belgium international following a respectable Premier League season.
Could his squad role be compared to that of a younger Wataru Endō? Potentially, but given that the Japan captain can maintain that supporting role for at least another season, it’s unlikely to be Liverpool’s top goal this summer.
Sambi Lokonga will ultimately be a wise acquisition for someone, but it most likely won’t be Liverpool. But since we’ve thought of him previously, we shouldn’t throw him out entirely.
