Chelsea transfer news: As the PSG striker prepares to leave the club this summer, Kylian Mbappe sent a message to one of the Blues’ new stars.
In response to the Paris Saint-Germain star’s return to the center of the football world’s attention, Kylian Mbappe has already sent a message to Christopher Nkunku, who has just signed with Chelsea.
Following a successful Ligue 1 season and returning from international duty, Mbappe met with PSG’s president last week and made it clear he would not be staying at the club past the end of his contract in 2024.
Nasser Al-Khelaifi, a France star, returned to the camp to begin getting ready for the upcoming season under Luis Enrique, and the 24-year-old spoke with him there at their training facility in Paris. Mbappe had already publicly brought up leaving PSG despite having hinted at his intention to do so.
In response to rumors that he would be joining Real Marid this summer, Mbappe tweeted: “LIES. Likewise, it moves faster the bigger it is. I have previously stated that I will remain at PSG, where I am very happy, for the upcoming season.
“.
Mbappe wanted to stay with PSG for the 2023–24 campaign, but the club decided against it because they risk losing him for free after a year. It appears Mbappe won’t be staying put for very long now that they have had a chance to discuss his future in person.
He was not included in the preseason squad for Enrique’s tour of Japan and is currently for sale, according to Fabrizio Romano. Clubs all over the world could have a shot at making one of the most remarkable transfers ever for about £160 million ($205 million).
Naturally, Chelsea has been closely associated with such a move. Mbappe is a player who went through a trial with the team more than 11 years ago, and as one of the biggest stars in the game, he is obviously appealing to the club’s American owners, Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.
As his future has been completely up in the air, Mbappe has now made it clear to one of the Blues’ recent additions.
The 25-year-old Chelsea attacker celebrated his first day at Cobham with the caption: “First session with the lads [wave emoji, blue circle emoji].” In response to a post from his French teammate Nkunku, Mbappe wrote: “Going to get my popcorn [popcorn emoji].”. “.
They have shared the field together 41 times for France, mostly during a crossover at PSG. Nkunku went through the academy before leaving two years after Mbappe joined in 2017, moving to RB Leipzig in search of more opportunities. It happened before Pochettino showed up at Parc des Princes.
Now that a Mbappe transfer is imminent, there is a chance, albeit a small one, that they might reunite at the club level.
