Big-money talent is predicted to replace Mohamed Salah at Liverpool: “He would be fantastic”

A former Red believes Victor Osimhen of Napoli would be the ideal substitute for Mohamed Salah, who Liverpool would eventually need to replace.
The legendary Steve Nicol of Liverpool was asked who could replace Mohamed Salah and said Victor Osimhen would be a “fantastic” acquisition.
Since arriving at Anfield in 2017, the Egyptian has been the team’s star player, but it is expected that he would soon move on, especially with the departure of Jurgen Klopp. Saudi Arabian suitors are anticipated to reappear after Liverpool repelled their interest in the summer.
Salah’s departure would create a huge void. Every season since he moved to Merseyside, the forward has led the team in goals scored, and Nicol is sure that if Liverpool signs a new player, they need to replace him with a prolific striker.
The fact that Salah will be leaving, this year or next, Osimhen? he stated on ESPN FC. He would be great for Liverpool, in my opinion. We recently signed Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister in the middle of the park. Endo has been amazing, but you need someone who can run all day and pass it to Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, and Salah.”
Darwin Nunez would have to play a larger role if Osimhen, who has helped Napoli win Serie A, was acquired, according to Nicol’s other assertion. The former Benfica player has displayed flashes of brilliance, but his finishing has drawn criticism. In contrast, Osimhen has proven to be a merciless goal scorer.
The Nigerian, who joined Napoli from Lille a few seasons ago, has acknowledged that a move to the English premier league is eventually on his radar. He has been strongly linked to Chelsea.
“Of course one day, definitely, but for now, I have other plans in my career that I am looking forward to,” he had previously stated to Sky Sports this year. Thus, everyone is aware when the moment arrives.”
“I am happy with the president,” he continued. We get along well, me and him. I’m not going to lie. He has been a part of my life since I joined the team in 2020. I am in excellent terms with his family as well, and no matter what has happened, I always want to make sure that we are in good terms and that nothing is wrong.”
Last season, the 25-year-old had the finest season of his career and broke the 30-goal mark. Osimhen is anticipated to eventually look for other pastures because Napoli has demonstrated that they are willing to part with their top players for the appropriate price.
