Anfield are just months away from unveiling their brand new look and the nearly two-year expansion schedule is a fascinating sight.

Jurgen Klopp’s groundbreaking ceremony at the end of September 2021 kicked off Anfield Road’s latest extension, a project that will take the stadium’s capacity to over 61,000.

What was once a car park and fan zone is now an impressive stand which, at 39 meters high, adds to the already incredible skyline.

Progress may have been gradual from the initial groundwork to the present day, but a timeline of aerial work shows just how impressive the renovation has been.

In the This Is Anfield video you can see how dramatically the landscape has changed and how big the new Anfield Road End is.

The 300 ton roof truss proved to be a milestone in July 2022, requiring two 600 ton cranes at a height of 164 meters for its easy assembly.

Today, the new upper level is structurally complete after the removal of the old upper level and the installation of solar panels on the new roof.

The new pitch is to be moved next week. The construction time is only three days and will require a three week wait before it is operational.

The “disrespectful” player is considering staying with Chelsea, but Pochettino wants him to leave.

Romelu Lukaku is now open to the idea of staying at Chelsea, but Mauricio Pochettino has other ideas.
This was stated by Marco Conterio of Tutto Mercato Web.

What’s the latest on Chelsea and Romelu Lukaku? We see…

    What’s the story?

Well, the Belgian caused quite a stir at Stamford Bridge this week. A report from Corriere dello Sport has said that Lukaku is ready to hire lawyers to talk to Todd Boehly about a move from Chelsea to Inter Milan.

The Italian giants are keen on securing another loan deal, although Conterio believes Chelsea are unwilling to consider another temporary move.

There’s an offer from Saudi Arabia on the table but the 30-year-old doesn’t see any interest in it.

It was even said that Lukaku will “beat his first players on the table” to force an exit.

That seems to have upset Pochettino. Conterio explains how Lukaku is now demonstrating a willingness to stay in West London as a return to Inter looks unlikely.

However, according to the Italian journalist, Pochettino has “other ideas”, suggesting that he is not interested in reinstating the Belgian international.

Al-Ahli has since improved its bid to sign Lukaku and is said to be more considering a move to Saudi Arabia.

    Lukaku should leave Chelsea

Hopefully something stands between Al-Ahli and Lukaku as the striker has to leave Chelsea: he has burned bridges.

Ally McCoist said on talkSPORT that Pochettino should get rid of the Antwerp-born striker to ensure a positive dressing room environment next season, adding that Lukaku’s heart doesn’t appear to be with Chelsea after that famous Inter Milan interview in 2021.

Graeme Souness even called the Belgian ‘disrespectful’ after hearing the remarkable comments.

Lukaku could do well under Pochettino next season, but with young talents like Armando Broja, Christopher Nkunku and new Nicolas Jackson in the Argentina attack, it’s time to develop the 30-year-old.

Tottenham Hotspur have suffered a similar blow to what Liverpool expect with Mohamed Salah midway through next season

Liverpool rivals Tottenham Hotspur are at risk of losing talisman Son Heung-min midway through next season as he is set to feature in the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.

The tournament, which was due to be held in China this summer, suffered setbacks due to the host country’s Covid-19 issues.

Last year, the decision was made to postpone the tournament and then move it to recent World Cup hosts Qatar. The dates were finally confirmed earlier in 2023.

As reported by football.london, the striker’s first group stage game against South Korea will take place on Monday January 15, with the final taking place on Saturday February 10.

During this window, depending on when players are released for international play, and in North London due to his club’s FA Cup and Carabao Cup success, Son could miss up to seven domestic matches.

Liverpool prepared for Mohamed Salah blow as rivals prepare for January exit
This will give any of the club’s Premier League rivals a boost in the race for the title and European qualification, although in Liverpool’s case it would only serve to level the playing field. as the Reds face the same crisis with Mohamed Salah, one of their own teams.

Two seasons ago, Salah – then with Sadio Mane – dealt a double blow to Jurgen Klopp’s plans when he was called up for selection at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Both reached the final with their respective nations, with the Egyptian king desperate after a penalty shootout defeat and missing a total of six club games in all competitions.

Next year’s AFCON will take place over a slightly longer period than the Asian Cup, starting on Saturday January 13 and ending on Sunday February 11.

During this time, Salah could miss up to 10 Liverpool matches, including crucial Premier League clashes with Chelsea and Arsenal and both legs of a potential Carabao Cup semi-final.

If Liverpool and Spurs each lose their prized possession for as long as possible, it would be a major blow to both clubs’ goals to bounce back from the disappointing 2022/23 seasons.

After Klopp “rejected derisory” permanent transfer offer, Liverpool player “finalizes” Bundesliga loan

Liverpool prepared for Mohamed Salah blow as rivals prepare for January exit
Liverpool youngster Fabio Carvalho was reportedly set to complete his loan move to Bundesliga side RB Leipzig after Jurgen Klopp “refused” a permanent departure.

The Premier League giants signed the 20-year-old from Fulham last year for a fee of around £7.7m.

Carvalho impressed in the early stages of the 2022-23 season when he scored a late winner against Newcastle United, but his debut season at Liverpool was a struggle overall.

The Portuguese Under-21 international has been limited to just four Premier League appearances and Klopp admitted the 2022/23 season “wasn’t the best year for Carvalho”.

“I think there is a possibility that Fabio goes on loan or something. We will see. The fact is that for Fabio it was clearly not the best year of his career, even though it was a very young career, but it could have been his most important,” Klopp said.

“No player has impressed me as much as Fabio, that’s the truth. Because this very talented boy came here with big dreams and high expectations, it was fine at the start but it didn’t work out in the end. .

RB Leipzig quickly emerged as a potential suitor for Carvalho and Liverpool turned down a “ridiculous” standing offer from the German side last month.

After Klopp "rejected derisory" permanent transfer offer, Liverpool player "finalizes" Bundesliga loan
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano now reports that Carlvalho will ‘move’ to RB Leipzig and a ‘buy option’ will not be included in the deal.

He added: “Negotiations are being finalized as the deal will be signed next week, but the overall deal has been confirmed.
“A loan deal was the only solution as Klopp and Liverpool have rejected any offers for a permanent deal.”

A report from Football Insider, meanwhile, adds: “Carvalho is closing in on a season-long move to RB Leipzig.”

Liverpool reportedly “refused an offer of more than £10m from Leipzig before the end of the season” and they were initially hoping he would agree to a loan deal to another Premier League side.

West Ham, Brentford and Burnley have asked for Carvalho, but his preference was for RB Leipzig.

Former Premier League striker Gabby Agbonlahor believes the Liverpool star should join the Hammers.
“If I were Carvalho, I would go to West Ham to play there,” Agbonalhor told Football Insider.

“When Fulham got promoted a few seasons ago and Carvalho decided to join Liverpool, it was never the right decision because he wouldn’t get playing time.

“But now he needs a Premier League loan to show he’s good enough to compete in the division.

“He shouldn’t leave the Premier League and go somewhere else. “I think he’s a top player but he would never have had a chance at Liverpool and I think Liverpool have a lot of players in the position they like to play in so West Ham would be a good move.”

“I learned a lot from him personally, because sometimes when I’m not playing, on the bench or whatever, he knows me. He tells me to stay calm, he knows me… Stay calm, positive, no problem. This kind of person is not easy to find… I learned a lot from him on and off the pitch.

“He has the ability to turn the ball easily, doesn’t always play the back pass, he always tries to find solutions. I think he changed everything.

Jorg Schmadtke needs to address Liverpool's escalating Trent Alexander-Arnold issue.
New Liverpool transfer boss Jörg Schmadtke has to resolve an issue over Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Liverpool and new sporting director Jörg Schmadtke will be busy finding new signings to bolster Jurgen Klopp’s squad, but they also have a looming problem with Trent Alexander-Arnold. The Englishman has shone as a midfielder for club and country in recent months, underlining how important he is to his club in multiple roles.

He operated in a more traditional midfield position under Gareth Southgate, but for his club Alexander-Arnold moved from right-back to play alongside Fabinho – while Curtis Jones and Jordan Henderson were given more freedom to play.

‘offensive. New signing Alexis Mac Allister is set to make up a big part of Klopp’s midfield next season, further aided by the arrival of Alexander-Arnold. However, the 24-year-old has to make a decision on his long-term future with just two years left on his current contract.

If the Reds fail to tie him down to a new contract within the next 12 months, clubs will be lurking in the background, growing confident they can steer him away from Anfield.

One issue could perhaps be his salary, as Alexander-Arnold currently earns £180,000 a week but is expected to be paid at least £200,000 a week, on par with top earners like Virgil van Dijk and Thiago.

Liverpool fans have expressed their displeasure that current owner Fenway Sports Group is reluctant to splash the cash as it remains to be seen whether a record deal for Alexander-Arnold will come in a season without the financial help that comes with it. to play with the champions. high on the agenda would be the league.

Athletic have claimed Alexander-Arnold will be the priority outgoing players in 2025, a list which includes Mohamed Salah, Van Dijk and Henderson, but there is currently no urgency to start talks over an extension.

Jorg Schmadtke needs to address Liverpool's escalating Trent Alexander-Arnold issue.
With Schmadtke only in a short-term role over the summer, with an option to extend if all parties believe the partnership is fruitful, there is a chance he will focus on short-term goals for the current open window rather than long-term ambitions like tying Alexander-Arnold to a new contract.

The full-back’s new role revitalized him at a time when he was worried about his defensive frailties, but if there were any doubts that Liverpool could have been better off without him, Alexander-Arnold quickly put them to bed with recent performances: how he impressed Reds team-mate Andy Robertson.

“Trent is Trent and that’s the biggest compliment I can pay him,” the Scotland captain told Sky Sports. “He fits everything you ask him.

He’s still relatively young, but he’s got a wise head on his shoulders and I think when you’re so technically gifted, you’ve got so many skills, you’ve got so much talent.

Then you can play in any position and it would come from the best and most importantly he has that aggression and that will to succeed – and I think you’ve seen it.

  • Brazilian teammate is perplexed as Mohamed Salah signs with a Saudi club.

Brazilian teammate is perplexed as Mohamed Salah signs with a Saudi club.

Liverpool's 24-year-old player will be fantastic, according to Jurgen Klopp, next season.

One Brazilian team member believed they were getting the real deal.

After learning that his club had signed Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool winger’s namesake and not the real deal, an Al-Adalah player revealed that he experienced a flurry of emotions.

The Saudi Pro League in 2023 has drawn a large number of football players who are in their later years. Soon after the World Cup ended, Cristiano Ronaldo signed a contract with Al-Nassr. This summer, other players from Europe have also moved to the Middle East, including Karim Benzema of Real Madrid, the trio of N’Golo Kante, Edouard Mendy, and Kalidou Koulibaly from Chelsea, and Ruben Neves of Wolves.

Salah’s name would therefore be strongly associated with a multi-million pound move to Saudi Arabia right now if he hadn’t signed a three-year contract extension at Anfield last summer.

When he heard about his team’s most recent acquisition, Edson, a Brazilian defensive midfielder who plays for Al-Adalah, mistakenly thought the Egyptian King had been acquired by his team. In his native country, he described how at first he even rejoiced at the news in an interview with ESPN.

Regarding Salah, I thought it belonged to Liverpool, he said. I was hoping that would be the end of it, but it wasn’t. If Salah went there, it wouldn’t be out of this world because Arab football is expanding rapidly every year. “.

The player in question was a left back from Saudi Arabia.

Brazilian teammate is perplexed as Mohamed Salah signs with a Saudi club.
In England, criticism of the Pro League’s expanding financial clout has been met with demands for a transfer embargo from Gary Neville and questions from former Reds striker Peter Crouch regarding the transfer of Neves in particular.

Although he did so with a positive attitude, Edson also discussed the league’s expanding financial power during his interview.

“There is a lot of investment being made in Arab football, and the goal is to build a stronger league every year. I’m excited to take part in the magic that is happening in that game of football right now.

‘They have always made investments. Saudi Federation, league, and presidents. However, investment power has been rising every year, and it has now increased even more. This is advantageous for the nation, which loves football a lot.

There is still much room for growth in this nation. All other players will naturally want to go if the top players go there. The other wants to go if the first one does. In this crucial situation, I’m honored to represent the club.

“They have a plan for 2030, and their goal is to transform Saudi Arabia as they did Dubai. They are making significant investments in the design of cities to entice tourists. I have no doubt that the Saudi Championship will rank among the top six or seven worldwide. Because it expands significantly each year, I have no doubts about that. “.

Khephren Thuram and Manu Kone, along with other transfer targets, have access to the Liverpool jersey numbers.
Khephren Thuram and Manu Kone are controlled by Jurgen Klopp and his recruiting team

Khephren Thuram and Manu Kone remain in the spotlight and it could still take a few weeks for Liverpool’s two summer goals.

Having kicked off their recruitment campaign by signing Alexis Mac Allister on a free transfer, the Reds want at least one more midfielder to bolster their squad for the 2023/24 season.

Thuram and Kone are under scrutiny as Jurgen Klopp and his recruiting team pursue a younger profile for their next signing.

For those unfamiliar with the two French starlets, or Ryan Gravenberch and Gabri Veiga, there is a chance to see them do their job this summer at the ongoing European Under-21 Championships taking place in Romania and Georgia. The tournament lasts until mid-July.

Thuram and Kone came on for Les Bleus on Thursday night as they headed to a controversial 2-1 win against Italy, which saw VAR – and for once a lack of such technology – take center stage in the dying minutes .

As long as they had no connection to the Italian team, the most important thing for the Liverpool fans who watched the action via the UEFA website was the performance of Thuram and Kone. Overall, Kone was fantastic while Thuram showed one or two nice glimpses of his undisputed talent.

Of course, he’s sparked debate about their respective futures, and one look at social media was enough to show just how high they both stand on the red side of this famous footballing city. However, with a golden opportunity to showcase themselves, there will be no shortage of other candidates.

However, should the Reds sign either or both, there are some tempting squad numbers available to snap up their proposed arrivals at Anfield, even after Mac Allister landed the vacant number 10 which was not allocated by the club after Sadio Mane joined Bayern Munich.

Outgoing foursome James Milner (7), Naby Keita (8), Roberto Firmino (9) and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have four options left on the hook, although there could be internal calls for those jerseys. Other tracks currently available include; 12, 16, 24, 25, 30 and 31 along with further options in the 30s and 40s.

Chelsea player makes a pledge following his £18 million transfer, Before meeting with Mauricio Pochettino.

News about Chelsea: For the 2023–24 season, Mauricio Pochettino could make Andrey Santos a key player at Stamford Bridge.

Even though it seems like the 2022–23 season just ended, Chelsea’s preseason will begin in ten days, and preparations for the following campaign are already well under way. At Stamford Bridge, sanctioning incoming and outgoing transfers has taken precedence, with regular updates happening over the past week.

The first Blues player to leave was N’Golo Kante, who signed with Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia on a free transfer. Additionally, it appears that the sales of Hakim Ziyech, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Edouard Mendy to Saudi Arabian clubs will generate over £40 million.

Sales were important this summer to balance the books and address the issue of a bloated squad, but the majority of the money is coming from Kai Havertz’s £65 million transfer to Arsenal. Mateo Kovacic’s impending £30 million transfer to Manchester City will push the Blues’ windfall over £100 million.

News about Chelsea: For the 2023–24 season, Mauricio Pochettino could make Andrey Santos a key player at Stamford Bridge.
Romelu Lukaku, Ian Maatsen, and Callum Hudson-Odoi, three returning loan stars, look likely to leave for good, but only a select few will be incorporated into the first-team lineup. Andrey Santos, who transferred to the team from Vasco da Gama in January for £18 million, will be one of them.

Due to difficulties obtaining a work permit, an immediate loan was required. When a transfer to Palmeiras was unsuccessful, he returned to his former team for their inaugural season in Brazilian Serie A.

Santos will soon return to SW6 after also competing in the under-20 World Cup. Due to the different league format, their current campaign is still going on.

Prior to being eliminated by Israel in a 3-2 loss, the 19-year-old helped his nation advance to the quarterfinals. Santos used social media to honor his childhood team and wish them luck for the remainder of the season as his second stint at Vasco is now coming to an end.

Didn’t turn out as we expected… but I’ll always be cheering, and I’m sure better days are coming, Santos wrote on Instagram in an English translation of his Brazilian caption. Santos’ journey in England will start very soon now that he has a work permit in place. Pochettino is said to be a big fan of the player ahead of preseason, when he will be given opportunities to shine.

Maurizio Sarri is now seeking a reunion with a 27-year-old Chelsea player at Lazio
Reports claimed Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri is now keen on a reunion with Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the English international is one of the names under consideration for the role of midfielder in Serie A.

It appears Loftus-Cheek is about to leave Stamford Bridge having spent more than half his life as a member of the club.

It has been a struggle for the 27-year-old to break into the first team as a starter since his debut.

Last season was much the same, although his versatility proved useful for the club as injuries struck.

Loftus-Cheek played a number of games at right-back and was the best possible replacement for Reece James.
    Sarri wants Loftus Cheek

His attacking skills have often chosen him ahead of recognized option Cesar Azpilicueta, who is now also reportedly considering a move to Serie A.

However, the Englishman’s move would see him reform a relationship with the manager who brought out the best in him in west London.

Sarri was only at the club for one season but brought with him an interesting style of football which brought out the best in a range of young players.

One of them was Loftus-Cheek, who was at his best before injuries affected his career for years to come. Another star of the era was Callum Hudson-Odoi, whose prospects have also suffered a setback since the Italian was substituted at Stamford Bridge.

After an unsuccessful loan spell in Germany, his future looks bleak. Talks are scheduled over the next few weeks to find out if he will stay.

Mauricio Pochettino ‘orders’ Chelsea’s transfer officials to sabotage a £34 million Liverpool agreement

Mauricio Pochettino 'orders' Chelsea's transfer officials to sabotage a £34 million Liverpool agreement
Liverpool could be upset with Chelsea and Mauricio Pochettino in the transfer window.

Chelsea are reportedly planning to hijack Liverpool’s £34m deal for Celta Vigo star Gabri Veiga at the request of new manager Mauricio Pochettino. Both teams are looking for midfield reinforcements and see the 21-year-old as a possible solution to their problems.

Celta are happy to lose their star after a superb La Liga campaign, as their £34m contract includes a release clause – alarming clubs both in the Premier League and across Europe. Liverpool have been one of the strongest links as Jurgen Klopp looks to overhaul his midfield, starting with the finalized deal for Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister.

The Reds were ready to take a ‘concrete step’ for Veiga, as journalist Rudy Galetti explained to Give Me Sport: “The race for Veiga will be won by the fastest club.” He also gave up Manchester City, Real Madrid and Napoli. Tip to try to sign the midfielder even though Chelsea could now start the race.

Spanish magazine Relevo claim Pochettino insisted the Blues pay his release clause as part of the club’s rebuild, with the Argentine looking to build his squad amid massive destruction at the hands of Todd Boehly and his company for the huge £600m Spree outlay in the last two transfer windows before Pochettino arrived.

Mauricio Pochettino 'orders' Chelsea's transfer officials to sabotage a £34 million Liverpool agreement
With Veiga having a fixed transfer fee in his contract, the report says it is up to the clubs to convince him to give them preference over their rivals. While Liverpool have an advantage, Chelsea are said to be ‘booming’ as Pochettino have taken the lead in the transfer market over Veiga.

Chelsea may have stepped up their push to sign Veiga after talks with Brighton over Moises Caicedo were described as ‘slow’ after the Seagulls demanded a price tag of over £100m for the Ecuadorian.

Veiga has been named as one of the Blues’ alternatives as they look to be more cautious in this window, with Romeo Lavia another on the shortlist of players to partner with Enzo Fernandez. However, Arsenal have the upper hand in talks with the Belgian, who could cost up to £40m despite Southampton’s relegation.

The Gunners have a good relationship with his agent, who also represents Bukayo Saka and helped broker a new long-term deal between the club and the recent England hat-trick hero in May.

Meanwhile, Chelsea could sell Conor Gallagher, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Mateo Kovacic and Mason Mount, while N’Golo Kante is on the verge of turning down a new contract and leaving for Saudi Arabia on a free transfer, so it’s clear why Pochettino insisted on paying Veiga’s release clause.

Chelsea announce their third summer transfer in blow to Newcastle
The latest on Liverpool’s search for a new center-back as the Reds look to bolster their roster ahead of the 2019–2020 season.

As Jurgen Klopp keeps looking for new midfield superstars, Liverpool has been linked to yet another summer signing that would be a major splash. The Reds made it clear after signing Alexis MacAllister that they weren’t quite done updating their engine room, and many players have been strongly linked with moves to Anfield.

One of the most recent names to be mentioned is Federico Valverde, and according to Spanish media, as relayed by Football 365, the Reds have elbowed their way in front of Chelsea and Manchester City. According to reports, Liverpool is now in the lead in the race to sign the Real Madrid star and is “ready to pay” the high asking price of €90 million (£76.9 million).

Liverpool was anticipated to spend lavishly on bolstering their weakest area after announcing they would be adding more than one midfielder this summer. The fact that they lost interest in Jude Bellingham because of his nine-figure price tag, however, had somewhat eliminated individual big money moves.

Liverpool is "willing to pay" more than £76 million for a player wanted by Chelsea and Man City.
It’s interesting that Bellingham joined Madrid earlier this month from Borussia Dortmund despite the fact that they didn’t sign him. After announcing the signing of the Englishman and the departure of Karim Benzema, who joined Al-Ittihad of Saudi Arabia, Los Blancos is expected to make additional significant transfer announcements.

According to reports, Valverde is leaning more toward sticking with the Spanish powerhouse club despite having a contract with Madrid that doesn’t expire until 2027. The 12-goal, seven-assist player from Uruguay started both of his team’s Champions League matches against Liverpool to help the six-time champions be eliminated. He had a productive season overall last year, scoring 12 goals and providing seven assists.

Despite being tipped as the favorites to sign Valverde, Chelsea is once more searching for new players, and Man City will also be looking to replace lkay Gündoan after reaching an agreement with Barcelona following the expiration of his contract.

Liverpool’s plan to steal Tottenham’s move for £60m Bundesliga player; Man Utd, Newcastle are also interested

Liverpool have reportedly "asked to be kept informed" about the future of Tottenham-linked Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Edmond Tapsoba. The 24-year-old striker has been linked for two years with a move to the Premier League. Now it seems that he can finally move. It's no secret that Jurgen Klopp wants to strengthen his defense next season. Indeed, the recent performances of Joel Matip and Joe Gomez have caused the manager to scan the market for defenders. For example, Liverpool have been "in talks" with Bayern Munich star Benjamin Pavard. The French international can play at right-back or centre-back and is keen to join a Premier League club this summer. However, the Reds have yet to make a concrete offer for Pavard. Then they could potentially turn their attention to Tapsoba. As mentioned, Tottenham Hotspur also have the Burkina Faso national team on their radar. Ange Postecoglou wants to sign two centre-backs this summer, with Tapsoba believed to be his main target. However, he won't come cheap as Bayer Leverkusen have reportedly given him a valuation of £60million. Tottenham 'cautious' about Liverpool interest in Tapsoba Liverpool's plan to steal Tottenham's move for £60m Bundesliga player; Man Utd, Newcastle are also interested According to 90Min, Tottenham are 'cautious' ahead of their move as Tapsoba could be kidnapped. The report claims that one of the clubs who could potentially opt for the defender is Liverpool. Manchester United and Newcastle have also been "informed of Tapsoba's situation". With that in mind, Tapsoba's move to Tottenham is far from over, although he is 'ready' to join them this summer. Clement Lenglet is unlikely to be brought back on board at Spurs after a mixed spell on loan from Barcelona. Elsewhere, Postecoglou will reportedly be hearing offers for Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez and Ben Davies. Tapsoba made 47 appearances in all competitions for Bayer Leverkusen last season. In doing so, he helped his team to 13 clean sheets and scored two goals. He is a versatile player and can play as both a defensive midfielder and central defender. This allows him to provide coverage in multiple positions. With that in mind, it will be interesting to see if Liverpool make a concrete offer for Tapsoba. If they do, Tottenham will only fear more that their deal could fall through.
Liverpool have reportedly “asked to be kept informed” about the future of Tottenham-linked Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Edmond Tapsoba.

The 24-year-old striker has been linked for two years with a move to the Premier League. Now it seems that he can finally move.

It’s no secret that Jurgen Klopp wants to strengthen his defense next season. Indeed, the recent performances of Joel Matip and Joe Gomez have caused the manager to scan the market for defenders. For example, Liverpool have been “in talks” with Bayern Munich star Benjamin Pavard.

However, he won’t come cheap as Bayer Leverkusen have reportedly given him a valuation of £60million.

Liverpool's plan to steal Tottenham's move for £60m Bundesliga player; Man Utd, Newcastle are also interested
According to 90Min, Tottenham are ‘cautious’ ahead of their move as Tapsoba could be kidnapped.
The report claims that one of the clubs who could potentially opt for the defender is Liverpool. Manchester United and Newcastle have also been “informed of Tapsoba’s situation”.

With that in mind, Tapsoba’s move to Tottenham is far from over, although he is ‘ready’ to join them this summer. Clement Lenglet is unlikely to be brought back on board at Spurs after a mixed spell on loan from Barcelona. Elsewhere, Postecoglou will reportedly be hearing offers for Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez and Ben Davies.

According to the new UEFA rules, Liverpool will be eligible for the Champions League if they finish fifth.

Chelsea announce their third summer transfer in blow to Newcastle
Due to a significant UEFA rule change, Liverpool can now qualify for the Champions League if they finish fifth the following season.

The Reds finished fifth in the most recent Premier League season, so they will have to make do with Europa League competition in the upcoming season.

Even though Jurgen Klopp’s team went on a fantastic unbeaten streak at the end of the league season, winning seven of their final ten games, it wasn’t enough to pass Manchester United or Newcastle.

Two Premier League teams, United and Newcastle, will participate in the final Champions League in its current format before the competition is redesigned.
The other two Premier League teams are Manchester City and Arsenal.

There won’t be a traditional group stage for the 2024–2025 season as the number of participating teams increases from 32 to 36.

Instead, the clubs will compete in a single league phase, in which they will face eight opponents in four home games and four away games.

The top eight teams will then advance to the round of 16, and the teams that place ninth through sixteenth will compete in a play-off round. There won’t be any changes to the remaining knockout round.

According to the new UEFA rules, Liverpool will be eligible for the Champions League if they finish fifth.
Additionally, Liverpool and other Premier League teams may experience significant effects from the new format.

Why a UEFA rule change might have an impact on Liverpool and other Premier League clubs.

UEFA will change the rules to provide new opportunities for qualifying so that there will be four extra teams in the 2024–25 season.

The two European countries with the best results from the previous campaign will automatically qualify.

English clubs should take note of this because, depending on how well England and Italy perform in 2022–2023, they will each receive an additional Champions League qualification spot.

While West Ham defeated Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League final, Manchester City defeated Inter Milan in the Champions League final. Roma, meanwhile, advanced to the Europa League final but fell to Sevilla of Spain.

Since English clubs have recently dominated European football, Klopp’s team would be able to finish fifth next season and still almost certainly guarantee Champions League football. However, the change does not affect Liverpool for the current campaign.

Liverpool was ordered to spend £15 million to acquire a “world-class” wonderkid before Real Madrid.

In spite of Real Madrid's current interest, Liverpool has reportedly been told they can sign Fenerbahce wonderkid Arda Guler if they activate his €17.5In spite of Real Madrid’s current interest, Liverpool has reportedly been told they can sign Fenerbahce wonderkid Arda Guler if they activate his €17.5 million (£15.9 million) release clause.

As reported by AS, the young talent will only be permitted to leave Turkey this summer if a club exercises his £15 million exit clause. Liverpool is just one of many teams interested in signing Guler, who has exploded onto the European scene this season.

Target Scouting has praised Guler as a “world-class” prospect, and Liverpool are now keeping an eye on the 18-year-old winger after he recently scored for Turkey against Wales in Euro 2024 qualifying. Guler has garnered a lot of praise this season for his impressive performances for Fenerbahce.

Given his youth, Guler is undoubtedly on the path to becoming one of the best players in Europe with six goals and seven assists for Fener last season across all competitions. And with the release clause set at £15 million, Liverpool may now find themselves in a position to sign the young player.

However, if Los Blancos push hard enough to bring the 18-year-old wonderkid to Spain in the upcoming weeks, Liverpool may find it extremely difficult to lure the Turkish winger to Anfield due to Madrid’s interest in him.

If Madrid makes an offer, Liverpool might have trouble acquiring Guler.

Guler’s talent seems to have no limits; at this rate, the winger will soon rank among the most thrilling athletes in all of Europe. Liverpool, however, may be unable to sign the Fenerbahce star if Madrid initiates contact with the player too soon.

Indeed, Madrid is not averse to making significant financial investments in young athletes whom the team believes are deserving of playing for the first team. And if Liverpool goes through with a move, the La Liga team might significantly outmuscle them given how impressive Guler has been over the past 12 months.

Liverpool have a lot of work to do this summer, but the transfer matters to be completed won’t end there. Jurgen Klopp still has a few big years ahead of him.

Liverpool have a lot to think about during the summer transfer window, but these times are never isolated. For example, if the Reds were to sign a defender this summer, it would be before the likely departure of Joël Matip in 2024.

Similarly, the types of midfielders arriving this summer should factor in long-term thinking, with Jordan Henderson and Thiago not rejuvenating with the latter losing his contract in 12 months.

With Jurgen Klopp linked to a new contract until 2026, the German will be the leitmotif of the next transition period at Anfield, with Liverpool continuing to plan for the future.

Looking at 2026 as the point in time, we’re sure Klopp will be in the lead until—and hopefully beyond if he so desires—what other big decisions lie in wait for the next two seasons?

Thiago and Matip could leave next summer, as mentioned, unless one of the two gets an extension, and next year there are several big names on the verge of an extension.

Henderson, who will turn 35 in 2025, will therefore be out of contract, as will Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kostas Tsimikas and Mohamed Salah.

Alexander-Arnold will obviously receive a new contract and could even become captain at that point (if he hasn’t become a full-time midfielder by then, the captaincy role seems even more defined at some point).

Dream Liverpool team in 2026: Trent Alexander-Arnold decision ,Virgil van Dijk signed

Meanwhile, Van Dijk turns 34 this summer – he’s still young enough to be a defender, but he should probably reduce his workload by then. At that point, it will be necessary to find a successor at the beginning of the transition.

Salah is the other big name on that descendant list, with a big decision looming near the end of next season as to what to do with him. It took a long time to accept his previous extension and Liverpool don’t want another story.

He’s turning 33, but he’s still showing no signs of letting up. But like Van Dijk, in 2026 it will be necessary to find a player who can eventually replace the Egyptian, so at least the transition period could have begun.

Fabinho, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konaté will all be eligible for contracts by 2026. The Brazilian has already shown some shaky signs in terms of fitness last season, while Robertson will be 32. Konaté will be 27 years old and in his prime.

In short, once the reconstruction of the midfield has been arranged, more important decisions will have to be made later. Alisson Becker will turn 33 in 2026 and is under contract until next year, but plenty of other big calls loom.

Alexis Mac Allister will be just 27, Curtis Jones 25 and Harvey Elliott 23. Stefan Bajčetić will be just 21 and Ben Doak will somehow be just 20. Darwin Núñez and Cody Gakpo will be 27 that summer, but Diogo Jota and Luis Díaz will approaches 30 years.

Most of the squad are young enough now that they are still good options to go three years from now, but key players like Van Dijk and Salah will need more management and replacements lined up early.

There will be plenty of transfer activity at Liverpool this summer, but in the short term it will be necessary to be more proactive and stay one step ahead before such drastic action is needed to replace the most irreplaceable stars.

After a £55 million deal was made, Liverpool may have a chance to acquire Mason Mount.

Liverpool might be willing to make an 80 million euro offer for the 26 year old target.
Liverpool were in the hunt for a signing from Mason Mount, but in recent weeks there have been rumors that he is more likely to join Manchester United.

Manchester United are set to make a third offer for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount, according to BBC Sport, but could be left off the negotiating table.

The Red Devils have given Liverpool a head start with the signing of the England international, although Jurgen Klopp’s side laid the groundwork for a move from Stamford Bridge early on. The interest was sparked after contract talks with the Londoners broke down after the World Cup in Qatar.

Erik ten Hag is said to have made the Cobham Academy graduate one of his main targets this summer and two offers from the Old Trafford side have already been turned down. It has been claimed that the two valuations are far apart, with Chelsea expecting a transfer fee of around £70m.

Mount has a year left on its current deal with West London and is widely believed to be swapping the capital for the North West this summer.

According to the BBC’s Simon Stone, United will make a third offer, which is expected to be around £55m, but will walk away if another approach is rejected.

After a £55 million deal was made, Liverpool may have a chance to acquire Mason Mount.
He tweeted: “Third @ManUtd offer for Mason Mount, expected to be around £55m. The club intend to drop the deal if Chelsea don’t accept. With a year to go, United believe a 70 million pounds is unrealistic.”

The 24-year-old has become an interesting player for Liverpool after turning their attention away from England star Jude Bellingham. It has been reported that Borussia Dortmund are expecting a transfer fee of over £100m for the 19-year-old.

After some deliberation, the Reds opted to turn their attention to several new arrivals rather than a mega-money signing who would have broken their own transfer record and the UK record. Alexis Mac Allister was welcomed into the AXA Academy this summer after signing a long-term contract with the Reds.

Khephren Thuram is among other targets as he targets success with France Under-21s at the European Championships. Celta Vigo and Spain midfielder Gabri Veiga is also in the tournament and is shortlisted.

Meanwhile, Dutchman Ryan Gravenberch, who played for Belgium in the group opener, has been the subject of speculation over a move to Liverpool.

After Man Utd was passed over, Liverpool received a massive £17 million transfer boost from the brilliant agreement.

Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic will miss the Under-21 European Championship through injury, but it has proved to be a very sensible signing.

At the moment, all eyes are on the Under-21 European Championship, and for good reason.
No less than five of Liverpool’s transfer goals all feature in the tournament in Romania and Georgia.

Ryan Gravenberch and Micky van de Ven represent the Netherlands, Khephren Thuram and Manu Kone play for France and Gabri Veiga is on duty for Spain.

Indeed, Kopites will keep an eye on the quintet and consider how they can fit into Jurgen Klopp’s plans. The Reds also have two players of their own, Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott, looking to inspire England to victory.

Indeed, the tournament offers the best young talent from across the continent a chance to show what they’re all about.

During the summer, football fans whet their appetites with the under-21 European Championships, while senior citizens enjoy a well-deserved break.

And with the spotlight on young talents, we must also think of Stefan Bajectic.

The Liverpool midfielder should have been in the starting line-up to make Spain’s squad for the tournament after making a breakthrough in the 2022-23 season at Anfield despite being just 18. Indeed, a breakthrough season is an understatement.

Hardly anyone expected the midfielder to play 19 times for Jurgen Klopp this time a year ago. Nobody imagined that he would start a Champions League-16 match against Real Madrid with merit, surpassing Fabinho, Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita in other games.

Indeed, football often falls short of the status quo. Injuries may be one of the reasons rising stars get opportunities. But in Bajcetic’s case, it was thanks to the dismissed form of some of the senior squad members who had been instrumental to the Reds during their trophy-laden spell.

After Man Utd was passed over, Liverpool received a massive £17 million transfer boost from the brilliant agreement.
An outstanding performance in a 2–1 win over Wolves in an FA Cup fourth round replay led to a run of seven starts in the next 10 games for Bajcetic. There were wonderful performances in that run over Everton and Newcastle United.

When it turned out he was unavailable for the return leg against Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu in March – and when it was revealed he would not play for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury – it was a huge blow.

He had been a beacon of light in a busy engine room. Mo Salah even went so far as to say that Bajcetic had been Liverpool’s starting enforcer throughout his run in the XI.

It was last summer’s pre-season when Bajcetic first attracted attention. In a 5-0 friendly win against RB Leipzig, his performance off the bench in the second period was outstanding.

The Reds led by just one goal at half-time. Bajcetic’s stormy display and Darwin Nunez’s four goals drove the visitors crazy. And while Liverpool will be wary of their comeback, the teenager will be seen as a real midfield option next season.

With Alexis Mac Allister signed from Brighton for £35m and at least one other engine room operator set to join, Klopp won’t forget the maturity and composure of operations by Bajcetic.
Liverpool paid just £224,000 to sign Bajcetic from Celta Vigo.

Manchester United and Real Madrid were also interested, but the Reds missed a deadline before moving to Anfield in December 2020 following a change in Brexit rules – which meant English clubs could no longer sign new players. foreign players before the age of 18.

Bajcetic’s valuation has increased several times since then. His price tag is now worth more than £17m, according to CIES Football Observatory, while Transfrmarket put him at around £11.2m. However, Liverpool will not consider a sale. Bajcetic is both the future and the present.

A Liverpool defender discusses his emotionally driven decision to leave the team after 13 years and decline a new contract.
Liverpool defender Charlie Hayes-Green retired from Merseyside career after 13 years opting for move to Bolton Wanderers

Former Liverpool youngster Charlie Hayes-Green has described the difficult decision he made when he turned down a new Reds contract to move to Bolton Wanderers.

The 18-year-old was announced last week as one of the players not signed by the club before the League One club confirmed the signing of the towering defender.

His transfer to the University of Bolton stadium ended his 13-year academy. As a result, he signed a one-year deal with the Trotters with the option of another year.

In his final season with the Reds, Hayes-Green was part of Marc Bridge-Wilkinson’s squad, playing alongside the likes of Ben Doak and even Juventus mercenary Arthur Melo. “I had 13 fantastic years, had so many incredible experiences at the club, learned so much, grew as a player and as a person off the pitch,” he told ECHO.

thank you to everyone on the trip who made it what it was as i had an amazing time there. But now is the time for me to move to Bolton, I thank everyone at Liverpool, but now my focus is on pre-season.”

The defender will turn 19 at the end of December and with just one under-21 appearance and 13 under-18 appearances, he felt the time was right to leave Kirkby.

Hayes-Green added: “We were offered an extension and a contract but I felt the road, for me personally, wasn’t there at Liverpool.

I didn’t feel it was the right place for me to start my career going forward and Bolton has given me the opportunity to continue and hopefully continue there. “It was a tough decision because emotionally I’ve been with Liverpool all my life, they’re the team I grew up supporting, so it was a tough decision.

Liverpool defender explains emotional decision to leave after 13 years and turning down new deal
“After talking to my family and people around me that I trust, I felt it was the right decision to move forward and start a new chapter in my career. The trajectory at Liverpool, I felt this was the place right for me. Continue.” And improve.

“Fingers crossed, from what I’ve seen and heard, Bolton is the right place for me to progress.”

The move to the League One club follows the path of fellow defender Conor Bradley. The Northern Ireland international was one of two Liverpool talents to join Lancashire alongside Owen Beck, but the Welshman was eventually recalled from his temporary spell.

Bradley enjoyed a successful spell with Bolton, however, as they lifted the Papa John’s trophy after an emphatic victory over Plymouth Argyle at Wembley. However, his move would end in heartbreak as they would be beaten in the play-off semi-final by Barnsley – who would lose to Sheffield on Wednesday in the final.

And while Hayes-Green thinks it’s unfair to draw comparisons to Bradley, the focus is on pursuing a similar path. He said: “Conor put in an amazing performance last season.

If you can do half as well as him, that’s fine.” It’s not really my job to compare myself to others, it’s my job to focus on myself, try to improve every day and leave the comparisons to the coaches.

“I spoke to him briefly when I went to Bolton, I knew a lot about the club anyway because I spoke to different people there. was huge for his development, hopefully I can take it with me.” The club too.”

The 18-year-old hopes his experience and development on Merseyside will bode well as he seeks to earn his trade in Bolton’s B team and break into the first team.

“It’s been really good on and off the pitch, they’ve done an incredible amount for my development.” You work with very good coaches and the guys around you push you because you are with very good players.

I’m sure it will stay that way in Bolton. “I’m over the moon, I’ve worked pretty much my whole life to get to the point where I now have to sign a professional contract,” he said when signing a contract with the Trotters.

“It was a very, very proud moment for me, my family and also the people around me. Together we have all worked so hard to get to this point and it’s an amazing feeling to have signed him.

“I’m really excited to get started. The whole vibe around the club is great, I went a few weeks ago and met all the guys. The level of training was also very good, I can’t wait to start.

Hayes-Green will officially become a Bolton player in early July when his contract on Merseyside expires.

He returns home with a range of experiences, including being challenged to defend against talented Liverpool winger Doak and receiving tutelage from Arthur in a Papa John Trophy appearance against Rochdale.
    Speaking of Doak, he said:

“It’s been tough, he’s a really good player, as we all know, that’s what I need to play against the best players possible because they’re the people. that I like that will help me improve.”

Liverpool defender explains emotional decision to leave after 13 years and turning down new deal“He’s a very, very good player and he gave me a few tough days of training. I learned a lot from Ben, he’s the kind of player you want to play against every day because they make you better and challenge you.”

Brazilian midfielder Arthur has endured a difficult time as the Reds spent just 13 minutes in the first team during a difficult loan spell from Juventus.

But the experience of the Wirral defender has been invaluable, explained Hayes-Green: “He was really good, a real professional.

Before the game it was a fantastic opportunity for me to be with players who played in such important games.

“He obviously played for Juventus, Barcelona and big teams with great players.

The closeness to him and the way he did things was so professional.”
“He came, was humble, talked to all of us and helped us in the dressing room and throughout the game, so it was a good experience.”
