Corriere dello Sport – Liverpool is ready to guarantee £26million deal to get signing done

Liverpool have been linked with Moroccan international and Fiorentina killjoy Sofyan Amrabat and the latest news is intriguing.

According to the current version of the Corriere dello Sport (image of the news below), the Viola are already preparing for the departure of the African champion this summer.

The Rome-based media said Fiorentina are targeting the signing of Maxime Lopez to replace the 26-year-old defensive midfielder next season.
Amrabat is loved by Premier League sides such as Liverpool and Newcastle United and is also sought after in Spain by Atletico Madrid and champions Barcelona.

It should be remembered that, with the exception of the Reds, all of the above suitors can offer the player the Champions League next season. The CdS claim Fiorentina are demanding a £26m fee for their prized assets, but Barca and the Rojiblancos are unable to pay the price.

On the other hand, Liverpool and Newcastle have ‘raised their voices again’ that they are ready to ‘secure’ a deal worth £26million to complete the signing.

In response, Amrabat made it clear that he would prefer to move to Spain. The Serie A side are trying to clear up their future as soon as possible.

The Atlas Lions midfield star was undoubtedly the top scorer at the FIFA World Cup last year. We’ll see how the transfer saga unfolds and keep you updated.

Liverpool may have another deal hijacked as Man Utd and Chelsea 'put in phone calls'
Liverpool’s transfer plans for Man Utd and Chelsea could be scuttled, according to reports.

Liverpool could expect a second transfer deal to be hijacked soon. Jurgen Klopp is keen to strengthen his midfield this summer but the Reds now face serious competition for targets Gabri Veiga and Nicolo Barella.

Reports from Spain suggest that Liverpool are no longer favorites to sign Celta Vigo’s famous star Veiga. Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly tasked Chelsea with covering Liverpool’s transfer for the Spaniard.

Veiga has a £34m release clause and would be a great signing for Liverpool. The 21-year-old scored 11 goals in a fantastic breakthrough season in La Liga

However, the Anfield side now appear to be missing another goal in midfield after Chelsea ran ahead in the battle for Veiga. That’s because they could now lose out on a deal for Inter Milan ace Barella if their rivals pique their interest.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Manchester United and Chelsea have both called Inter Milan over the Italian star.

Liverpool may have another deal hijacked as Man Utd and Chelsea 'put in phone calls'
They would be far more attractive destinations than fellow Newcastle pretenders due to their rich history. The report adds that Liverpool remain favorites to sign Barella. The 26-year-old would seem keen to work under Klopp, whom he has great admiration for.

Liverpool have already signed Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton and are expected to sign at least one more midfielder. Defensive reinforcements could also be brought in.

Klopp has insisted he wants to complete the bulk of Liverpool’s transfer deal by July 6, at the start of pre-season. The Reds have generally made all their signings in mid-July during Germany’s spell in charge.

“The better players you want, the less desire the other club has to let them go. And that’s exactly what we’re prepared for,” Klopp said on 28 May.

“But it’s a long haul and a long pre-season and a long break in between, so we have time whether we sign players tomorrow or in six or seven weeks. Not a game changer for me, to be honest.

“In an ideal world, they all sign tomorrow and I can tell them when they’re due and we can give them summer vacation plans, but that probably won’t happen.”

Liverpool recently attempted to sign Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde

According to Teamtalk (h/t Liverpool Echo), Liverpool recently attempted to sign Real Madrid and Uruguayan midfielder Federico Valverde.

The report also reveals that both Valverde and Madrid are unwilling to part ways this summer. He is also interested in Chelsea and Manchester City.

Let’s face it, it sounds like an unrealistic move all day long. The possibility that Valverde will cost Liverpool a lot of money to retire is as high as anything. Besides, it wouldn’t make sense for Los Blancos

sell one of their best young players.

To be honest, there’s no doubt that the Uruguayan is a good player. He’s a versatile midfielder who can also play on the wing, just like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain did for the Reds when he was fit and playing well.

Characteristically, Valverde is exactly the type of player who would make a great addition to the Liverpool squad. It’s no surprise, however, that the 24-year-old has no interest in leaving Madrid. Why would you unless there is something wrong between him and the manager?

However, as a Liverpool fan, let’s not dwell too much on that and focus on what’s possible this summer. For a club of our size, targeting players for a club like Real Madrid shouldn’t be a bad idea, but Valverde just doesn’t seem impossible.

After Alexis Mac Allister was snapped up a few days ago, things have calmed down for the Reds. Is it the calm before the storm or is the club grappling with a potentially tight budget?

could do with two more additions in midfield and get a defender or two too. The right players need to be bought so the manager knows what happens when new signings join the squad.

LIVERPOOL JUST SOLD ‘BIG TALENT’ WHO COULD HAVE BEEN THEIR OWN JAMES MADDISON
Premier League giants Liverpool have just sold a player who has “very similar qualities” to James Maddison, while Leighton Clarkson secures his permanent transfer to Aberdeen.

In 2021, after the diminutive midfielder invaded Jurgen Klopp’s first-team thinking, the Liverpool boss drew comparisons between Leighton Clarkson and a certain Philipp Lahm for his intelligence on the ball and tactical flexibility.

The England Under-20 international has scored six goals and provided nine other assists. His creative streak and exquisite long-range shooting led Dons legend Willie Miller to mention Clarkson in the same breath as a man who has come a long way since his brief stint at Pittodrie.

“Clarkson is a huge talent who reminds me of James Maddison,” Miller told Press and Journal. “When I see what Maddison has accomplished, I think Clarkson has done the same.”

Maddison, who spent the second half of the 2016/17 season at Aberdeen, is now an England regular, not to mention his £50m target for Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United. Liverpool sell Leighton Clarkson to Aberdeen

“It sets the bar high when you start comparing Clarkson to Maddison,” Miller adds. “But why not? Clarkson has very similar qualities to Maddison. He’s also great on the ball, can score from set pieces and has a huge impact on games.

LIVERPOOL JUST SOLD ‘BIG TALENT’ WHO COULD HAVE BEEN THEIR OWN JAMES MADDISON“Clarkson is a hugely exciting talent with his whole career ahead of him. Securing the midfielder on a long-term contract until the summer of 2027 is a fabulous deal from Aberdeen. Anyone who has seen the midfielder play will realize that he has enormous talent.

“That was pretty clear on his debut for Aberdeen, when he scored a sensational goal in the 4-1 win over St Mirren in August.”

Aberdeen reportedly battled competition from Rangers, Celtic and a number of English Second Division clubs before signing Clarkson for an undisclosed fee. A deal that had Dons boss Barry Robson grinning from ear to ear.

“There’s no doubt that Leighton was a positive influence during his time with us last season,” Robson told the Dons website.

“It is hugely encouraging that he has now chosen this club as his home. “He’s a bright young player and exactly the type of player we want here at the club.

He’s young, hungry and technically very good.
“He was much admired for his creativity on the pitch. And (he) showed a real affinity with the fans during his time at Pittodrie last season.

Trent Alexander-Arnold collected the number 10 shirt for England against North Macedonia

Bukayo Saka could have won the match point for his hat-trick against North Macedonia at Old Trafford on Monday night, but Liverpool defender and midfielder Trent Alexander-Arnold impressed again during this recent international break.

Even having shone in his new hybrid role at Anfield and beyond, it was shocking to see his name alongside the No.10 shirt on England’s squad list ahead of beating Malta on Friday night. It was hardly a surprise, however, that in 180 minutes he made his mark again.

Alexander-Arnold, in an even more advanced position than his recent move to Liverpool, was among Valletta’s star performers and just over 72 hours later the club’s academy graduate was back with another performance composed and elegant in the engine room.

It was enough to make Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and even former Chelsea captain John Terry purr as they watched the current squad routinely knock out admittedly limited opponents. Although these three could still read between the lines, Alexander-Arnold successfully played between them.

After seven goals ahead of him, Alexander-Arnold underlined what he has to offer with an assist that helped Saka earn a hat-trick. Queue up the high-level response on social media.

No sooner had the goal come – England’s fourth of the night – than Liverpool hero Carragher tweeted: “Trent v Saka will be one hell of a combination.” Terry followed with his endorsement on the same platform.

In Saka Chat, Channel 4’s team of respected pundits also discussed before the match what Alexander-Arnold can offer his club and country in central midfield, as Gerrard himself took off his suit to appear at Old Trafford on Monday night.

He said: ‘When you play in matches against Malta and you play against another team [North Macedonia] who play with a compact block, Trent [Alexander-Arnold] is someone who can open the door at any moment because he has such a range good of passages.

“I think he has a lot of trust and confidence from Jurgen Klopp in this role and it’s very interesting to see that Gareth [Southgate] has given him a chance. But what Trent has done is he’s gone and I thought it was man of the match Friday night.

“He played with confidence and that defensive responsibility was taken away from him because he was under pressure and there was a lot of attention for him in that role.”

Alexander-Arnold would not be declared man of the match against North Macedonia on Monday night. After being ignored by England for so long, he could be their man of the hour.

Liverpool transfer news the likes of the Reds, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal would all be excited about Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia.

Liverpool are in a four-way battle to sign Romeo Lavia, reports suggest.
According to the Independent, the Reds are eyeing the Southampton midfielder but will face competition from three Premier League rivals

Lavia is expected to leave the Saints following their league relegation in the 2022-23 season. The 19-year-old arrived from Manchester City last summer and made 35 appearances, scoring one goal and one assist.

Southampton are said to be asking for at least £45m for Lavia, although this could rise if a bidding war erupts.

Liverpool are looking to expand their midfield options this summer and have already signed Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton for £35million. At least one more engine room operator is expected to arrive at Anfield.

Players such as Nice’s Khephren Thruam and Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch are also on Jurgen Klopp’s radar.

Chelsea and Arsenal are said to be vying for the signing of Lavia, who is a Belgium international in his own right.

Iceland’s defeat came in the 80th minute when Willum Thor Willumsson received a second yellow card, reducing his squad to 10 men. Cristiano Ronaldo then scored a controversial goal in the 89th minute to clinch victory.

The goal was initially flagged for offside, but after a lengthy VAR check, Ronaldo was barely considered to be onside and the goal was therefore conceded. This gives Portugal a perfect record in four qualifying matches, keeping them top of Group J.

Liverpool have already made a major signing this summer, paying £35m for Alexis Mac Allister, but Jurgen Klopp’s side are expected to be active in the transfer market

After failing to qualify for the Champions League, Liverpool are set to undergo a major rebuild this summer.

There has already been a lot of activity at Anfield, with James Milner, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Roberto Firmino all leaving the club on a free transfer. Alexis Mac Allister, meanwhile, became Liverpool’s first signing of the summer after completing a £35m transfer from Brighton.

Many more new signings are expected in the coming months as Jürgen Klopp looks to strengthen his squad, with Liverpool not expected to count against them in the Europa League.

With that in mind, here are some of the key transfer conversations to emerge from Anfield. Liverpool and Manchester United have long been credited with an interest in Ajax defender Jurrien Timber, but Arsenal are looking to outplay their Premier League rivals.

Arsenal have made a £30million bid for the Netherlands international, according to Athletic. However, they are still £20m short of Ajax’s £50m asking price as the 22-year-old has two years left on his current deal. The report states that “there is optimism that a compromise can be reached” and that Timber has already agreed personal terms with the Gunners.

Timber admitted in April that he was likely to leave this summer, telling De Telegraaf: “There is a lot of concrete interest and I have made arrangements with Ajax. Last year Ajax m asked to stay at least one more season to extend my contract. As a boy at the club, I did it with love and after the season we decided to review the situation.”

Liverpool transfer round-up: Arsenal swoop for Reds target as Samuel Chukwueze makes a promise l
Villarreal chairman Fernando Roig has admitted winger Samuel Chukwueze could be sold this summer, with Liverpool one of the interested parties, but promising they would not “undermine” him with even a single year on his contract.

“It’s true that he is excited to play for a big club in Europe or in the Premier League,” Roig told AS. If this option presented itself, we would sit down and negotiate it. But it will be necessary to see if there is a favorable offer for the three parties.

“In this case, no offer has arrived yet. What is clear is that if something really good doesn’t arrive, it will stay.” We don’t care if there is still another year. To break even, we have to sell. But let it be clear that we are in no hurry. We won’t cut anyone.”

This is Van de Ven’s agent

Wolfsburg defender Micky van de Ven has also been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool and the player’s agent has admitted that “many clubs” are interested in signing him.

“Micky has played a fantastic season,” Jose Fortes Rodriguez told WAZ. “There are many clubs interested. It would be stupid to say now that he will definitely stay at Wolfsburg. Anything can happen this summer.”

“A player like Micky, who has developed so well – calls from clubs come automatically. I am asked: ‘How is the situation? Do we have a chance?’ As I said, anything can happen this summer. He may leave. But if the right club doesn’t show up, why wouldn’t Micky stay at Wolfsburg?”

Rumor has it that Liverpool target Samuel Chukwueze is excited about the prospect of a move to the Premier League this summer.

Chukwueze has been linked with a move to Anfield as the Reds seek senior cover for their forwards. And speaking to Spanish newspaper AS, Villarreal CEO Noig Negueroles admitted the La Liga side would consider him should a bid for the 24-year-old materialise.

“The Samu is an exceptional kid who has been with us for many years,” Negueroles said. “It’s true that he is looking forward to playing for a big club in Europe or the Premier League and we have always worked hand in hand to improve. If this option presented itself, we would sit down to negotiate it.

“But it remains to be seen whether a favorable offer will arrive for all three parties. In this case, there is still no offer and he still has one year left on his contract. We know that if something really good doesn’t materialize, it will continue [at Villarreal].”

    Villarreal boss drops Chukwueze reference

CEO acknowledges £29 million player is excited about a Premier League move following reports that Liverpool want him.
With just one year left on his contract, it looks possible that Liverpool could get Chukwueze for less than the £29m they would have offered for him in 2020 [France Football].

If they could, he would have the potential to be a big deal for the Reds. Aged just 24, Chukwueze has played over 200 times for Villarreal and won 28 caps for Nigeria. He showed a lot in those games which suggests he can go further in the Premier League.

There are still some inconsistencies in his game to iron out, but at Liverpool he would have the opportunity to do so.

Chukwueze is naturally left-footed and could be the replacement for Mohamed Salah that Jurgen Klopp never really had. As he is seven years younger than Salah, there would be potential to develop the Nigerian as Mo’s successor.

Whether or not Chukwueze would be thrilled at the prospect of playing second fiddle is another matter. He might be excited for the Premier League, but at Anfield he should bide his time in a stacked striker.

However, we think there is room for Liverpool’s offensive capabilities to improve this summer. For the fare it’s likely to cost, you might not find much better than Chukwueze.

Benitez, who guided Liverpool to the Champions League title in 2005, has been out of work since being sacked by Everton in January last year.

However, it looks like Benitez is set to finalize his managerial return in the coming days as the 63-year-old is set to take over from Carlos Carvahal at Celta Vigo.

This reports The Athletic, where Benitez is ‘close’ to finalizing a deal with the Spanish club after turning down takeover offers from clubs in Saudi Arabia.

Liverpool are secretly hoping Benitez will lend them a hand in his new role by selling them top-flight midfielder Gabri Veiga, with the 20-year-old reportedly one of the names on Klopp’s summer target list.

He is said to have a release clause of around £34m, but is also reportedly being pursued by several other top clubs, including Chelsea and Barcelona.

Newcastle and Real Madrid have also expressed their desire to sign Veiga in recent weeks, suggesting Liverpool could face an uphill battle to get him before the start of the new Premier League season.

Liverpool legend Rafa Benitez could be about to do Jurgen Klopp a big transfer favour
Benitez could turn the tide in their favor if he can convince Veiga that a move to Anfield this summer would be in his best interests.

Veiga is widely expected to leave Celta Vigo this summer in search of a new challenge, with Sky Germania reporting that he will almost certainly leave before the start of the new season.

The report also says that Chelsea have previously spoken of a move to west London, but the player and his representatives are “still considering many options” before settling on his preferred destination.

It looks like Barcelona, Newcastle or Real Madrid could make it difficult for Liverpool and Chelsea by increasing their interest in Veiga this summer as they offer him a chance to play in the Champions League next season.

However, it looks like Klopp isn’t too concerned about the possibility of being beaten in deals by other clubs despite the Reds’ relegation to the Europa League in the 2023/24 season.

“If I talk to a player, if I’m allowed to, which I’m not, you can find out if he’s interested,” Klopp told reporters last month when asked about the failure to Liverpool to qualify for the Champions League, which could have implications for the summer.

    recruitment projects.
“We’re not 100 per cent in the Champions League next season and they would know that.” That’s one thing we can’t guarantee next year, but everything else is the same.

It’s a fantastic football club. We are still Liverpool and very attractive to a lot of players, I don’t worry about that. Of course, it’s more difficult without the Champions League.

Arsenal begin negotiations with a target for Liverpool; the player implores Arteta to sign him.
Mikel Arteta, you vicious, vicious man. By hijacking a transfer that both Manchester United and Liverpool were confident would be completed, the Arsenal manager has finally retaliated for all the times his transfer plans have been derailed.

Yesterday evening, it was reported by dependable journalist David Ornstein that the Gunners had started negotiations with Ajax to sign Jurrien Timber and had even set their opening bid at £30 million. Fabrizio Romano informed the supporters that Ajax would demand more than £30m and that Arsenal would have to increase their offer. Nevertheless, it is encouraging to see that the Gunners are effective in the transfer window.

Liverpool and Manchester United are HIJACKED by Arsenal in exchange for Jurrien Timber.

After learning that Manchester United and Liverpool had increased their interest, Mikel Arteta reportedly started these negotiations to sign Timber. Savage.

The fact that Timber is trying to join Arsenal is better for fans. According to the report, Mikel Arteta is now even more certain that he will be signed.

Khéphren Thuram has been signed, one more transfer – Dream Liverpool midfield line-up for upcoming season
Furthermore, this is NOT a panic purchase, so please note that. First of all, even though the transfer window has just opened, Arsenal DO need to bring in a versatile defender. Timber fits that description, and at 22 years old, he would be the ideal addition for Arteta to compete again the following season.

Timber’s ability to switch between the defensive center and the right flank actually makes me think of Joao Cancelo. The versatility of Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and this combination would give the Gunners a lot of depth for the upcoming season.

Do you think Jurrien Timber will join Arsenal?

Khéphren Thuram has been signed, one more transfer – Dream Liverpool midfield line-up for upcoming season

Liverpool could probably have a completely new midfield before 2023-24. Khéphren Thuram might be one of them, but this is what the dream trio would look like.

Liverpool fail to define all the problems in midfield from last season. Clearly Jürgen Klopp doesn’t think so either, having decided to sign a forward in January to try and break the slide.

It worked, at least to some extent. No immediate fix, Cody Gakpo improved the press as he adapted to Roberto Firmino’s role and Liverpool’s results trended upwards. The real game-changer, however, was the decision to place Trent Alexander-Arnold in a hybrid role to give the midfielder that extra bite and punch he desperately needed.

Whether this solution lasts or not, Liverpool will now be keen to strengthen the midfield unit that surrounds them. This process has already been initiated by Alexis Mac Allister, but ideally a few more midfielders would be added before the end of the transfer window.

One name that keeps coming up is Chephren Thuram, and that would be a wise addition indeed. A third signing would give Liverpool the chance to field a whole new trio, but the real key for Klopp is to restore real options.

After all, while the boss technically “stands in” for Naby Keïta and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, neither was reliably available. James Milner is a machine, but Liverpool clearly didn’t want to turn to the 37-year-old as a starter too often. New blood means legitimate rotation opportunities.

So who would be the ideal option to enter next to Thuram? In many ways, it depends on how you view Mac Allister. No doubt his versatility was part of his attraction to Liverpool, but presumably Klopp has an idea whether he will primarily use him as a number six or advanced number eight.

Though he has the skills to play the deeper role, he seems a bit of a waste. While that position would hamper his attacking performance somewhat, playing as a number eight would allow him to shine offensively by using his defensive prowess as part of Liverpool’s proactive drive from the front.

Khéphren Thuram has been signed, one more transfer - Dream Liverpool midfield line-up for upcoming season
As for Thuram, he is undoubtedly a number eight. He can also hold his own in defence, a requirement for any Liverpool midfielder, but he won’t play as the strongest option.

With that in mind, there are good reasons for Liverpool to sign a number six specialist and questions remain over Fabinho. The problem is that no one of this type has actually been linked.

Off-piste, Martín Zubimendi could be the ideal candidate. It looks like Barcelona will fail in their efforts to sign the man hailed as the new Sergio Busquets. The 24-year-old seems very happy at Real Sociedad but Liverpool should at least ask themselves the question.

Signing someone like that would see Liverpool’s dream midfield formation really materialize. Zubimendi would come into play as an immediate starter, just like Mac Allister before him. Meanwhile, Klopp’s current options are far from terrible – they would only compete for one spot (with Thuram in the mix) rather than having to fill all three.

The likes of Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott and of course captain Jordan Henderson will all feel like they can do something about it. If Thiago is fit, he can be added to this list and will soar. But Klopp rightly rewards form, so maybe it’s Jones’ position that loses out in pre-season.

Therefore, at the end of a dream summer, the Liverpool midfield lineup would look like this: Zubimendi, Mac Allister, Jones. However, none of them would be safe under pressure from Fabinho, Stefan Bajčetić and Henderson in the bigger role, and Thuram, Elliott and Thiago further up. Suddenly a problem area would seem like a real selling point.

Liverpool is willing to let a talented star depart this summer after raising supporters’ expectations.

    winger Mateusz Musialowski
Liverpool are reportedly ready to entertain offers for academy winger Mateusz Musialowski after a poor season on Merseyside this summer.

Musialowski joined the Reds from SMS Lodz in 2020 having scored 130 goals in just 80 games at youth level.

After seeing the Polish star play, many Liverpool fans were very excited about the player’s prospects, but it hasn’t improved since the plan.

Dubbed the ‘Polish Messi’ upon his arrival, the 19-year-old had a tough season last season.

Musialowski has started just eight times in Premier League 2, while Ben Doak and Harvey Blair have moved ahead of him in the attacking pecking order.

Doak is now believed to be the next star to come big under Jurgen Klopp and as such the Polish star could be primed for a homecoming.

Football Insider reports that the 19-year-old is attracting interest from a number of clubs in Poland and elsewhere and that Liverpool will not oppose him should an acceptable offer come their way.

It would be a shame for Liverpool as the youngster obviously has a lot of talent. However, Ben Doak’s rise has been hugely exciting for the Merseyside club over the past 12 months and appears to have blocked Musialowski’s path to the first team.

It’s unclear where the 19-year-old will end up ahead of the new season as his parents appear to be in charge of his career.

Liverpool is interested in a Man City star, which is a strong indication of how they might play in the upcoming season
Liverpool have reportedly expressed interest in Man City’s Kyle Walker but a deal looks unlikely as the right-back wants to stay at the Etihad.

This according to the Daily Mail, which reports that the English star has opened talks for a contract extension with the Premier League winners despite strong interest from Bayern Munich.

Thomas Tuchel is said to be a fan of the 33-year-old and is looking to take him to the Bundesliga, and should the Manchester City star decide to leave, the German champions look the more likely destination at the moment.

The report says there is interest from Liverpool as well. But it would be hard to see such a transaction between the Premier League rivals.

However, this could be an important clue as to how Jurgen Klopp could line up his side next season.

When Liverpool learn about quality right-backs, it could indicate Trent Alexander-Arnold will be deployed as a midfielder next season after showing brilliant performances in the role in the last two games of this season.

The Reds are unlikely to sign Walker, but if they manage to land another right-back at Anfield this summer, fans could see Alexander-Arnold as a full-time midfielder next season.

Four transfers completed, Darwin Núñez unlocked – This is what Liverpool’s summer is like for Jürgen Klopp

Four transfers completed, Darwin Núñez unlocked - This is what Liverpool's summer is like for Jürgen KloppLiverpool still have a lot of work to do in the transfer market, but Jürgen Klopp also needs to work on improving the players he already has, including Darwin Núñez.

While there is a certain transfer obsession in some circles, Liverpool also have other things to consider this summer, particularly how to get the most out of the players Jurgen Klopp already has.

Liverpool’s squad quality – and depth, particularly in midfield – needs to be addressed, but there’s also a good chance, with a seldom rich and long pre-season, that improvements can be made to those already at the club.

Summer offers the perfect platform to integrate Alexis Mac Allister and the other new signings to come in due course, and the period will also be important for players like Darwin Núñez to take the next steps and become even more familiar with the system.

There’s also a question of what happens as the lineup progresses, with Trent Alexander-Arnold doing very well in a hybrid role behind the previous campaign. What is the ideal summer like if Liverpool can solve all these problems and mount a serious title fight in the Premier League? We took a look.

    Three more transfers

In an ideal world there is no doubt that Liverpool would need a few more midfielders and then a defender as well. Name-wise, Khéphren Thuram is in the Reds squad, while a move for Nicolò Barella should be explored if there is any chance of the Italian Champions League finalist leaving Inter Milan.

Defensively, Micky van de Ven is clearly open to a move to Anfield, having recently spoken openly on the subject, but there are other top-level centre-backs who can play on the left and should be considered.

With Caoimhín Kelleher remaining, there is no reason to change the goalkeeping department, when even after Roberto Firmino’s departure, Ben Doak and Kaide Gordon should be able to step in if necessary with five veteran strikers to choose from ahead of them.

    Darwin Núñez unlocked

One element of Liverpool’s restart this summer must be new signings, but some existing players must also take the next step.

One of them is certainly Núñez, who scored 15 goals in his first season. With a functioning midfield behind him and less pressure on his shoulders, plus Luis Díaz and Diogo Jota, he should be able to continue.

With a change of squad number he could be Liverpool’s number nine, but the challenge is to ensure he is a regular on the pitch despite competition from many players, including Cody Gakpo.

The Europa League could really help him build more confidence, and with his former clubs there is evidence that it takes him a while to get used to life at a new club before he really blows through his second full year.

Others to take the next step

Núñez won’t be the only one who wants to kick. Gakpo is also a player who has had some time to settle in and now has to prove that he can score regularly and that he’s not just the forward striker.

In midfield, Curtis Jones will hope to pick up where he left off (and his injuries are over) and players like Harvey Elliott and Stefan Bajčetić can also make progress again.

Aside from younger players, it’s a challenge for older men like Alisson Becker and Mohamed Salah to maintain their level; for most of the rest of the Liverpool squad, it’s more about rediscovering previous levels, including Fabinho and Díaz who fall into that category for different reasons.

Put it all right – and there’s no reason Liverpool can’t – and Klopp’s men will be back where they want to be in no time, and last season’s poor showing can be put to one side.

  • Liverpool has 17 days to decide on a Jürgen Klopp transfer as “terms were discussed” with the trio.

Liverpool has 17 days to decide on a Jürgen Klopp transfer as “terms were discussed” with the trio.

CEO acknowledges £29 million player is excited about a Premier League move following reports that Liverpool want him. https://footballtopstar.com/ceo-acknowledges-29-million-player-is-excited-about-a-premier-league-move-following-reports-that-liverpool-want-him/
After acquiring Alexis MacAllister, Liverpool has kept its transfer options open, but Jürgen Klopp will want to step things up pretty soon.

Liverpool had completed all of its transfer business by this time last year. Early this summer, when Alexis Mac Allister entered, it appeared that there would be more of the same back-to-back arrivals, but as of yet, nothing has changed.

There’s no reason to worry excessively.
Because so few contracts have been reached so far in the division, Liverpool’s completion of the Mac Allister deal ensures that it will continue to stand out as a Premier League anomaly. Given that the international transfer window is still closed and won’t open for another week and a half, this is hardly surprising.

Although there haven’t been any new specific developments, it appears Liverpool is working on a number of projects. Khéphren Thuram, Manu Koné, and Gabri Veiga have all recently been mentioned, and the links that have surfaced make it abundantly clear that Jürgen Klopp wants to add at least one more new midfielder.

Terms have actually been discussed with all three of these players, according to David Lynch, who was speaking on the Football Insider YouTube channel.

In terms of the current midfield situation, Liverpool is essentially weighing their options. Since that clause existed and there was interest from across the Premier League, I believe there was a genuine desire to pounce on Alexis Mac Allister.

They were aware of their options after that—possibly younger players who weren’t quite ready—so they needed to take a step back and consider what would happen next. It is still in progress.

“We know there are talks with players; we know Liverpool knows exactly how much Khéphren Thuram, Manu Koné, and Gabri Veiga want to make if they join them at Anfield. The contacts are present, and Liverpool is aware of the packages completely. “.

Lynch continued to say that he was not aware of any current, specific discussions with the clubs, but Veiga has a release clause, so neither of the other names would be out of the question. Overall, the image shows Liverpool as a city that isn’t sure what it wants.

Liverpool has 17 days to decide on a Jürgen Klopp transfer as "terms were discussed" with the trio.
Despite the fact that the transfer window doesn’t close until September 1st, Klopp’s mind will undoubtedly be racing. Although it should be noted that some players who have been away on international duty will report back later, Liverpool has its own flexible “deadline” of July 8 because the manager has made it clear that he wants to work with his players for a full preseason.

Klopp began emphasizing the significance of the upcoming preseason as early as April. He described the club’s plans as follows, per The Guardian.

    “We must act now.
We need to practice for that in the offseason, so I want the players back together as soon as they can while still acknowledging the necessity of the holidays. “.

If that is the case for current players, then there is unquestionably a greater need for new players, who have even more acclimating to do. There needs to be some progress on the transfer front because the first group will meet again in just 17 days, and those who have been on international duty will do the same three days later.

But that doesn’t mean Liverpool’s choice will be simple.
Thuram, Koné, and Veiga are all between the ages of 21 and 22, have reasonably compatible skill sets, and are all most likely expected to enter the picture to fill one of the number eight roles, so it is clear that the profile it is looking for has already been whittled down.
The short list doesn’t contain any glaringly distinctive options.

Liverpool should probably just make the decision right away because waiting will not make it any easier. Of course, the situation isn’t entirely in the club’s hands; Lynch speculates that Nice might be watching for a potential Thuram bidding war to break out. The U21 European Championships will be played by all four players, so there is also a waiting game to see if Ryan Gravenberch will become available. The waiting game, however, eventually turns into a waste of time.

Fortunately, transfer reporter Fraser Fletcher told Lynch that once a decision is made, a deal will be reached quickly.

“These are moves Liverpool could make quite quickly if they wanted them to be made… if it was that important and Liverpool really felt they were under pressure, probably from more sharks in the water, they would have finished them by now. They seem fairly secure and at ease, in my opinion. “.

Klopp will fervently hope for it. Although more movement would be appreciated soon as the manager plans a quick start to build on an unbeaten streak that already spans 11 games, this is a crucial rebuilding phase for Liverpool and it cannot be rushed.

Liverpool has been told that they must pay £90 million to sign a Premier League player.Joao Palhinha’s asking price has reportedly increased from Fulham to an astounding £90 million due to interest from Liverpool.

The Daily Mail reports that the west London club has set the 27-year-old’s asking price at an astounding £90 million in the face of interest from clubs like West Ham, who are considering Palhinha as a potential replacement for Declan Rice, who could leave for as much as £100 million.

Fulham, who only joined the Cottagers last summer, are reportedly comparing Palhinha’s valuation to that of Rice at West Ham. In his first season in England, the former Sporting Lisbon star stood out for Marco Silva’s team and was among the Premier League’s top midfielders.

Palhinha is now in demand, which comes as no surprise to anyone. Liverpool is one club that is interested in signing the Portuguese star, but Fulham’s asking price may now deter suitors given the absurd numbers displayed for the midfielder.

Palhinha was praised by Gary Neville as “fantastic,” but no club will be willing to spend up to £90 million on him. Given how unlikely a deal is now for the Reds, Liverpool may want to end their pursuit of the Fulham star right away to save everyone a lot of time and effort.

The price Palhinha is asking for is out of this world insane.

Palhinha was always going to fetch a high asking price from Fulham, but £90 million is absurdly high for the west London club. And it won’t come as a surprise if every club, including Liverpool, that was interested in signing the 27-year-old this summer decides not to.

We all know that paying £90 million will get you one of the best players in the world. Palhinha, a Portuguese international, does not fall into this category, despite the fact that he thrived in the Premier League the previous season.

Trent Alexander-Arnold stuns bitter Liverpool rival over Steven Gerrard claim
