Chelsea announce important new partnership amid sponsor deadline and pre-season decision

Chelsea are yet to announce their new front shirt sponsor for the 2023/24 season, with the deal with Three presumably already finalized
Chelsea have announced that Hilton will become the club’s official partner hotel. The news comes with uncertainty as to who will be the West London team’s shirt sponsor next season.
The Blues’ deal with Three was expected to close at the end of the 2022/23 season, but the sponsor is currently still acknowledged on Chelsea’s website, with reports recently surfacing that Stake would be the club’s next sponsor, after being made another deal. been blocked.
The expectation that Stake, an online casino, would become the title sponsor was widely criticized when the Premier League reached a collective agreement that from the 2025/26 season gambling sponsors would no longer be used.
The opportunity has also met with some frustration due to the work the Chelsea Foundation is doing to raise awareness of the harms of gambling.
Chelsea Supporters Trust noted: “An online casino and betting company as main shirt sponsor is not in line with the commitment to develop Chelsea FC as a ‘world class’ organisation.
“We understand Chelsea’s desire to maximize revenue streams across the club. If we allow this to happen, it must not come at the expense of the values of the club.”
football.london understands that the club will listen to the feelings of the fans, but this is also a reality to be faced in the sponsorship packages that have been presented. However, an announcement has yet to be made.
The partnership with Hilton appears to be offering the club their stays as they travel across the United States for pre-season this summer. Friendlies will take place in Chapel Hill, Philadephia, Atlanta, Landover and Chicago.
John Rogers, Head of Global Partnerships at Chelsea, said: “Ahead of our exciting visit to the US in July and August for the pre-season tour, we are very pleased to be partnering with such a prestigious name as Hilton for the future.
We are proud to be the first football team to work alongside Hilton and look forward to rewarding their Hilton Honors members and our fans in innovative ways.”
Stijn Bastiaens, Vice President, Strategic Partnerships, Hilton, said: “We look forward to partnering with such a respected and world-renowned club as Chelsea.
Through the partnership we will launch unique content and experiences for our Hilton Honors members. members, as well as extending more welcoming Hilton stays to the Chelsea team while on tour.”
