Yeremy Pino
Chelsea transfer news: Following the signings of Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia last week, a new attack-minded player is reportedly next on Mauricio Pochettino’s list for this summer.

According to author Simon Phillips, Chelsea has expressed interest in Yeremy Pino, a forward for Spain’s Villarreal.

Pino, 20, was mentioned in connection with a transfer to the Premier League last summer, with both Arsenal and Tottenham reportedly showing interest. He remained in Spain for the 2022–23 campaign, and Villarreal’s fifth-place finish enabled them to earn a spot in the Europa League.

Before helping his national team win the Nations League championship in June, the forward made 36 La Liga appearances and assisted on 10 goals. Ben Brereton Diaz, Alexander Sorloth, and Ilias Akhomach’s triple signing, however, casts doubt on his long-term future at the Estadio de la Ceramica and leaves the door open for a potential exit.

The Blues have reportedly identified the Spanish wonderkid as a potential attacking reinforcement ahead of the final two weeks of the transfer window, according to Phillips.

Following the high-profile transfers of Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, Mauricio Pochettino’s options in attack have been identified as needing the most improvement. Michael Olise of Crystal Palace appeared to be the next player through the door before deciding to stay at Selhurst Park, while Mohammed Kudus has been heavily linked to a transfer to West Ham.

Recent reports claim that Todd Boehly is keeping an eye on Rennes forward Jeremy Doku, but they will have a tough time fending off Manchester City’s interest.
football.london is aware that Kudus and Rayan Cherki are still on their list.

For Pino, though, it might be simpler to make a move. To give Chelsea a clear path to move, interest in Pino has been low this summer. The cost of the move would be the only area of contention.

Villarreal would likely demand a sum close to his €80 million (£68 point four million) CIES Football Observatory valuation. Pino only signed a new contract at the end of 2021, so he only has a little more than four years left on his current one in Spain.

A move to the Premier League at such a young age might be unsettling for some people. Fortunately for Pino, he would reunite with Nicolas Jackson, a former teammate from Villarreal. The forward, who has been compared to Didier Drogba, has impressed in his early games at Stamford Bridge.

After Michael Olise declined the move, Chelsea shifted their attention to a £45 million transfer target.

After Michael Olise declined the move, Chelsea shifted their attention to a £45 million transfer target.
Todd Boehly, the manager of Chelsea, appears to already have a new transfer target in mind despite being forced to abandon his pursuit of Crystal Palace star Michael Olise after he agreed to a new contract.

Michael Olise was quickly replaced by Brennan Johnson, who is now the target of Chelsea’s attention.

The Blues were interested in the French winger for Crystal Palace and were hopeful of signing him after triggering a £35 million release clause in his Selhurst Park contract. However, the transfer has since fallen through, and Olise has now signed a new contract with Palace.

It’s the best possible news we could have, Eagles manager Roy Hodgson said of the U-turn. I had been worried because it’s always worrying when a team of Chelsea’s caliber shows interest in a player and people will suggest that a move to them might be the best option.

I always hoped that wouldn’t be the case and that Michael would understand that, even at such a young age, his future here is very bright and that we can help him advance to another level very quickly.

“I am thrilled for the club, and I must congratulate Steve Parish and Dougie Freedman on the fantastic job they have done in persuading him that, despite pressure from the outside, “this is your place and this is where we think you will progress in the right way and develop in the right way,”. “.

And since it now appears unlikely that Chelsea will sign Olise anytime soon, they have already switched to another target. Johnson, a forward for Forest, has reportedly been added to their shortlist, according to The Guardian.

Early negotiations between the two clubs have reportedly already begun, laying the foundation for a potential deal. Although a part-exchange deal that would involve players moving to the City Ground has been discussed, it is said that the Midlands club values the Welsh international at about £45m.

For Forest, Johnson has excelled recently. His 17 goals and nine assists helped Steve Cooper’s team gain promotion to the Premier League, and his eight more goals helped the Reds avoid relegation last season.

The new contract, which he only recently signed in the Midlands, has three years left to run. This summer, Forest seems to have already turned down romantic advances from him.

Aston Villa, West Ham, and Brentford have all been mentioned as potential destinations for the forward. In contrast, the Hammers could use a replacement for Lucas Paqueta in the event that he successfully completes his transfer to Manchester City. The latter are hoping to add more reinforcements to their attacking unit.

Forest’s season began with a 2-1 loss to Arsenal on the opening weekend. Johnson was selected for the starting lineup but was substituted late for Anthony Elanga, a summer signing.
