Darwin Nunez and Andy Robertson train for Bologna, leaving two Liverpool forwards absent.

Liverpool trained at the AXA Training Centre on Tuesday morning in preparation for their midweek Champions League match against Bologna at Anfield.
Darwin Nunez and Andy Robertson provided a boost for Liverpool by participating in open training, easing concerns about their availability for the game. However, Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa were absent from the session.
Nunez missed Liverpool’s 2-1 win against Wolves on Saturday due to illness, while Robertson left the match with an injury. Despite this, Reds head coach Arne Slot downplayed concerns about Robertson’s fitness after the match.
“I don’t expect it to be a big problem although you never know,” Slot remarked. “I think he just got a knock in the end stage of the game; maybe he was a bit tired as well.”

“The guy who came in, Forbs, I knew him from Dutch competition; he made it a real fight for him as well. He got a bit of a knock, but I’m expecting him to be in training Monday again, but let’s wait.”
Slot’s early assessment has been confirmed as Robertson participated fully in training at the AXA Training Centre on Tuesday morning, along with Nunez, who has recovered from illness.
With their return, Harvey Elliott remains Liverpool’s only absentee, as the England Under-21 international is expected to be sidelined until after the October international break due to a fractured foot sustained last month.
Liverpool began their Champions League campaign with a 3-1 victory against AC Milan last month, thanks to goals from Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk, and Dominik Szoboszlai.
Slot utilized the trip to the San Siro to give Kostas Tsimikas and Cody Gakpo their first starts of the season, with Robertson and Luis Diaz being benched as a result.
It is uncertain whether he plans to make further changes against Bologna at Anfield on Wednesday night, although Nunez’s return to training adds to his options. The absence of both Jota and Chiesa, who have had previous injuries, poses a potential challenge for the Dutchman, casting doubt on their participation against Bologna.
Slot will provide an injury update on his squad during a press conference to preview the game at 3pm on Tuesday afternoon.
