According to insiders that spoke with Football Insider, Mohamed Salah’s summer transfer from Liverpool to the Saudi Pro League is “done deal.”
Editor Wayne Veysey of Football Insider’s YouTube show said that he has been informed that a move for the 31-year-old in 2024 is now certain.
The Liverpool player is said to have verbally consented to join the Saudi Pro League’s growing group of elite players, with a deal being reportedly agreed upon in principle.
Football Insider disclosed on Monday, October 30, that regardless of any bid made for Salah, the Merseysiders will not let him go in January.
However, Football Insider has been informed by a reliable source that the player’s head has turned due to the possibility of a mega-money contract being offered in the Middle East.
The team that made the first proposal in the most recent summer window was Al-Ittihad, but despite putting up a package worth a total of £150 million, Liverpool rejected all of their approaches.
However, it’s now thought that Salah might be acquired at the end of the 2023–24 season with a price of at least £150 million.
Just a few days after the season ends, he will turn 32. His rumoured £350,000-per-week deal at Anfield will expire after just one year.
In 14 games in all competitions this season, Salah has tallied 10 goals and 4 assists. On Wednesday (1 November), he wore the captain’s armband as Liverpool defeated Bournemouth 2-1 in the League Cup.
Due to his trip to the African Cup of Nations, the Egypt international will be absent from multiple games in the upcoming year.
The forward and Liverpool will play struggling Luton on Saturday, November 4.
After ten games, Jurgen Klopp’s team is ranked fourth in the Premier League.

The Premier League club have set £80m for their star player after he revealed his support for Liverpool.
Brentford have made an £80m bid for star striker Ivan Toni after admitting he was a Liverpool fan as a child.
According to the Evening Standard, the Bees are ready to sell Toney in January, while Arsenal and Chelsea are interested in signing Toney in 2024.
Despite missing the entire season so far due to a gambling ban, Brentford still rate the 27-year-old striker despite his 18-month contract expiring in January.
As a result, Toney may now miss out on a dream move to Liverpool, with the striker already showing his support for the club earlier this year. Liverpool have good attacking areas, so Toni’s move may not be necessary in 2024.
Liverpool will be keen to sign Toney in January. Brentford have set an £80m price tag for the England international. Liverpool should not consider Tony in the winter transfer window
Tony is undoubtedly one of the best strikers in the Premier League and is now a must-have for one of the division’s biggest teams.
However, Liverpool would be a surprising destination for the forward as they already have plenty of options in attack with main striker Darwin Nunes. Arsenal and Chelsea are not in the market.
Any part of the London number nine could be perfect for Tony, who wants to fulfill his Liverpool dream once and for all.

Liverpool look set to make their first signing before the January transfer window opens.
United have been linked with a number of names since the end of the summer and the player has long been an intriguing figure for Jurgen Klopp.
Despite engine room restructuring being the sole focus of the summer, Liverpool continue to look for other midfielders to add more options to their number six.
Andre Trindad has been on the radar at Anfield for some time, but the summer move is over and he is now the main name linked with a move to Merseyside in January.
Fluminense have said they will part ways with Andre until at least January as they will need all hands on deck this weekend if they are to win the Copa Libertadores title.
According to sports journalist François Plato, it has been confirmed that the Brazilian has “verbally agreed personal terms with Liverpool” amid interest in signing him in the new year.
However, no official deal has been signed yet and there are other clubs interested in Andre.
One of Liverpool’s main rivals for the midfielder’s signature is Arsenal, who are monitoring the situation with “several clubs in Spain and Italy”.
Every team interested in Andre has heard the same thing: This proposed transfer won’t happen. From Fluminense to the Copa Libertadores final.
The 22-year-old is valued at around €40m and both Arsenal and Liverpool are targeting him.
Andre is under contract with Fluminense until 2026, but the club have resigned over the possibility that this year could be his last game.
