Former Liverpool “talent” expected to have a bright future under Jurgen Klopp is starting over at a new club

Billy Koumetio appears to be another player that Liverpool will be saying goodbye to this summer after failing to live up to Jurgen Klopp’s 2020 projection.
Even though Jurgen Klopp had previously predicted that one of Liverpool’s players would go far, it appears that he will be leaving the team this summer.
Billy Koumetio joined Anfield in 2018 after moving there as a young kid from the French team Orleans. In 2020, when he was just 17 years old, he began to draw attention. During a pre-season camp in Austria, Klopp was impressed with his efforts and gave him an opportunity to show off against Stuttgart.
“The child Billy. He doesn’t appear to be a child. stated Klopp at the time. His face appears childlike, in my opinion, but the rest of him is amazing! Indeed, he is quite talented. He will undoubtedly make significant progress.
“Billy executed incredible passes and balls. We were just not high enough in our final line, which was played for the first time together. Everything is perfectly OK. I felt like “it must be offside” in numerous instances, but it wasn’t.
“There are tiny things to learn, but at 17 years old, he has his entire life ahead of him, which is very wonderful. Great potential, and as I mentioned, he was in a few really wonderful circumstances, but this pressed ball wasn’t the best.
For Koumetio, things haven’t quite worked out over the years, even with Klopp’s positive assessment. Since moving up to the senior ranks four years ago, he has only made two senior appearances for the team; the other two years have been spent on loan.
The Frenchman found that the previous season was one to forget. He was recalled in January after spending the previous summer on loan at Ligue 2 side Dunkerque, where he had made just nine appearances and had missed training sessions.
After that, Koumetio moved to Blackburn Rovers in the Championship, but during his tenure in Lancashire, he only played once in the FA Cup, against Newcastle.
According to writer Marc Mechenoua of Le Parisien, Koumetio, 21, is expected to sign a contract with Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership, leaving Liverpool.
The defender is scheduled to have his physical in Scotland on Friday, and it is anticipated that he will sign a contract for two years with the option of one more year.
According to Liverpool.com: It’s unfortunate that Koumetio’s time at Liverpool was short-lived, When he made his breakthrough in the summer of 2020, it appeared as though he was headed for great things, but his loans over the past few years have not produced the outcomes that either he or the Reds would have liked. In Scotland, hopefully, his career takes off.
