Four players are “cut” by Arne Slot from the Liverpool first team squad as transfers exit projected

Since Arne Slot took over as manager in lieu of Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool has not made any additions to the team; nonetheless, a number of departures are anticipated before to the transfer market closing.
Four first-team players have been dropped by Liverpool manager Arne Slot ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign.
During the Reds’ US preseason tour, Ben Doak, Tyler Morton, Lewis Koumas, and Harvey Blair all played for the team. However, they returned to action for the under-21s, defeating Ipswich 5-2 in a friendly played behind closed doors.
Kieran Morrison and Billy Koumetio were among those who scored, along with Morton, Koumas, and Blair. Additionally, Morton and Doak might be moving before the transfer window closes at the end of this month.
The 21-year-old Morton, who played on loan at Hull in the Championship last season, has been strongly connected to a permanent departure. RB Leipzig of the Bundesliga and Atalanta of Serie A are two teams rumoured to be interested in his services.
According to The Daily Mail, Liverpool is reportedly worth £20 million for the midfield player. Ipswich, Southampton, and Bournemouth, three other Premier League teams, are also rumoured to be interested in Morton. It is anticipated that Doak will go on loan from Liverpool this summer.
The Express claims that Brentford, Southampton, and Leicester are all interested in taking the teenager on loan for the duration of the season. For £600,000, Doak left Celtic to join Liverpool in 2022, but his progress has been hampered by injuries thus far.
Liverpool hasn’t added any players this summer, and new manager Arne Slot has stated that they won’t do so unless a player satisfies the “extremely high bar” necessary to thrive at Anfield.
“We have so many talented players, so the bar is really high for new signings. It is not so easy to find a player to meet those standards and then is he available?” he stated. Then, we need to come to an arrangement with them, so it’s not always simple to locate a player who can assist us. Nevertheless, [sporting director] Richard Hughes is putting a lot of effort into it; we’ll see what results.
“When we have all the players back and we still haven’t, then is the best time to evaluate it. However, a team like Liverpool is always on the lookout for players who can bolster the roster, and that is precisely what Richard and I are trying to accomplish, though it isn’t position-specific. We are always assessing the team to see where we can make improvements and what we have.”
Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi has now been highlighted by the Reds as a possible signing for this summer, and they are anticipated to make a deal for the 2024 Euro winner.
