If Steven Gerrard steals Jordan Henderson, Liverpool has already made its next acquisition.

Jordan Henderson’s desire to go to Saudi Arabia may prompt Steven Gerrard to take him there, which would force Jurgen Klopp to look again at the midfielder transfer market.
As Steven Gerrard plans to sign club captain Jordan Henderson this summer, Liverpool may be forced to enter the transfer market once more. If Henderson decides to follow Gerrard on his new adventure in Saudi Arabia, Jurgen Klopp will be on high alert about the need to replace the midfielder. The German manager has already set his sights on a third midfield addition should Henderson decide to leave.
In keeping with the influx of well-known figures moving to the Arabian Gulf, Gerrard has been officially named the new manager of Saudi Pro League team Al-Ettifaq. With Roberto Firmino joining Al-Alhi on a three-year deal after leaving as a free agent, there will be some familiar faces from Liverpool, and he wants Henderson to be a part of his revamped midfield.
Since moving from Sunderland in 2011, Henderson has been associated with Liverpool for 12 years.
It is believed that Henderson is seriously considering joining Gerrard at his new club.
The 33-year-old needs eight more matches to reach 500 appearances for the Merseyside club, but with his regular spot in the starting lineup in jeopardy, he might be tempted to call it quits at Anfield. By spending about £115 million to hire Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, Klopp has already begun to make plans for the future.
In the event that Henderson leaves, the 55-year-old boss might be persuaded to ask for another addition. Romeo Lavia appears to be Liverpool’s top target as they have cooled their interest in Nice starlet Khephren Thuram after engaging in negotiations earlier in the transfer window.
The Reds have been in contact with the Belgian international’s representatives for a number of weeks, but Fabrizio Romano claims that “no concrete offer” has been made for him.
The 19-year-old, who transferred from Manchester City to Southampton last summer for just £15 million, is now valued at £50 million. The signing of Shea Charles, who hails once more from treble winners City, may indicate that despite their relegation, they are now willing to sell Lavia now that a replacement is available.
That might be more than Liverpool is prepared to spend on a player with just one season of Premier League experience. However, Lavia was one of the Saints team’s bright spots as they slipped into the Championship, and if Henderson left, Klopp would be short on players, so interest from Arsenal and Chelsea may force their hand.
James Milner, Naby Keita, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have all been released, and Thiago Alcantara might follow suit if the Spaniard receives an appropriate offer. Stefan Bajcetic, Curtis Jones, and Fabinho would be Klopp’s only remaining options in that area of the field if Henderson were to leave.
Lavia presents a promising option for the future and will undoubtedly profit from Klopp’s nurturing presence, while Mac Allister and Szoboszlai offer a genuine upgrade and the pair will slot straight into the side.
Henderson, who the team signed when he was just 21 years old and who turned out to be a fantastic acquisition, could prove to be of the same caliber as Lavia if Liverpool intensify their pursuit.

A Liverpool player was offered a contract worth £200,000 per week to leave Anfield.
According to reports, Steven Gerrard is eager to sign the midfielder and has offered Jordan Henderson a contract worth nearly £200,000 per week to move to Saudi Arabia.
The Daily Mail reports that Al-Ettifaq are making a strong effort to sign the 32-year-old captain of Liverpool amid mounting speculation that Henderson may actually move to the Middle East and that the midfielder is now the subject of a contract offer worth £200,000 per week.
Jurgen Klopp has praised Henderson as an “outstanding” player, and after today’s latest development, it appears that his chances of moving to Saudi Arabia have significantly increased. £200,000 per week is a sizable pay raise for a midfielder who is nearing the end of his career.
Henderson, who is Liverpool’s captain and is expected to play a significant role in the team next season, would be a major loss for the Reds if he decided to move to Saudi Arabia. This is especially true given how crucial the 32-year-old is to the team’s off-field success.
Henderson joining Al-Ettifaq would undoubtedly be among the summer’s most shocking moves. The choice now rests with the midfielder as to whether he wants to stay at Liverpool or move farther east to Saudi Arabia.
Henderson must not be influenced by Saudi Arabian wealth.
Saying that Henderson’s transfer to Saudi Arabia would be one of the most disappointing in recent Liverpool transfers would be somewhat of an understatement given the financial implications and undertones of the political messaging involved, both of which will damage the midfielder’s reputation at Anfield.
Even though some Liverpool fans may unfairly criticize Henderson, the 32-year-old has been a fantastic captain and a positive role model off the field ever since. Additionally, the England international would effectively undo all of his good work if he moved to Saudi Arabia.
