Jürgen Klopp acknowledges as Napoli responds to Liverpool’s and Victor Osimhen’s transfer claim

Latest Liverpool news: Napoli respond to transfer claims surrounding Victor Osimhen, Jurgen Klopp talks 2-0 win over Everton.
Liverpool won the Merseyside derby but Everton were unhappy with referee Craig Pawson.
Jurgen Klopp has hit back at his decision not to let Ibrahima Konate leave as Napoli manager Victor Osimhen has been linked with a move to Anfield in Italy.
Napoli responded to Victor Osimhen’s transfer request.
Liverpool have impressed this week by signing Napoli and Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, who is keen to leave Serie A.
Osimhen’s record transfer fees amount to more than 100 million dollars.
Now, “Napoli” coach Mauro Meluso responded to these statements. “The president will be meeting with Victor’s representative in the coming weeks to discuss this matter,” he explained.
“It’s normal for Osimhen to take a moment to think about our contract proposals.”
Liverpool are unlikely to move for Osimhen as he is as good a player as he is.
The 24-year-old will only play in an environment where Darwin Nunes, Cody Gakpo and Diogo Jota are at their best.
If Mohamed Salah leaves, ideally after signing a new contract and ultimately staying, Osimhen would not be a natural replacement.
In that case, Liverpool will need someone to play on the wings.
Jürgen Klopp makes admission after Everton
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admitted Konate was a bit lucky to be sent off against Everton on Saturday after his rushed introduction of Joel Matip. The next time the ball went out of play, the Frenchman was sent off. “To be 100% honest, I haven’t seen him yet,” Klopp told a news conference.
“I didn’t know if I saw him 100%.
“When he didn’t receive the second yellow, I decided to take him off rather than give it another chance. I completely comprehend the frustration that Sean Dyche and Everton are experiencing right now. Was it 1-0 or was it still 0-0? 0-0. 10 v 10. We seemed like the superior side to me. Had we prevailed? I’m not sure. We won’t ever learn.”
Liverpool were not helped much by the fact that Everton only had 10 men and Dysch’s side imposed themselves as a low compact unit for the rest of the game.
However, the Reds emerged victorious after a penalty shoot-out broke the deadlock and became the only team to earn a point.
