Jürgen Klopp hinted at Thiago as the “complete package” in the midst of Liverpool transfer rumors.

As Thiago Alcântara’s future is the subject of ongoing transfer rumors, there appears to be disagreement among Liverpool supporters, and Jürgen Klopp may need to make a choice this summer.
The entire Liverpool squad, with the exception of one or two players, returns to training on one of the most eagerly anticipated days of preseason.
Since the Reds’ season-ending match against Southampton, which took place forty-four days ago, Jürgen Klopp has been busy bringing in two new players in the form of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.
As they meet their new teammates for the first time, fans will get their first glimpse of the new duo, and Liverpool has already piqued interest in the upcoming campaign with videos posted on social media.
But there is one player they might not get to meet today, and if recent rumors are to be believed, they might completely miss out on Thiago Alcântara.
On Saturday, the 32-year-old was spotted returning to the AXA Training Center, but noticeably without any athletic attire. In spite of the fact that his hip surgery was only a few months ago, speculation about his midfielder’s future persists. He may well be participating in his own program as he recovers.
Last week, it was revealed by The Athletic that Thiago had turned down a Saudi Arabian offer, while Turkish media outlet Fanatik claimed he had spoken to Galatasaray. According to a recent report from Football Insider, Liverpool will reportedly sell two first-team players before the end of the summer, with the Spain international being the most likely to go.
Supporters appear to be divided on whether the Reds should release Thiago this summer. On the one hand, his history of injuries has been a sore subject ever since he joined from Bayern Munich, and on the other hand, some supporters see his contract expiration next year as a perfect chance to cash in.
However, when he has been on the field, Thiago has shown himself to be a classy player, and other supporters believe that he still has a place in the team. Given that he has previously praised Thiago’s qualities, Klopp would seem to concur with this opinion.
He is a talented player.
After the 4-0 victory over Manchester United in 2022, Klopp told the BBC (via The Independent), “We have to keep him healthy.
“He has rhythm now, which helps in these kinds of situations to really be in the right spaces, the right little turns, and finding the right passes.
There are only a few players who have the technical ability to not only see things earlier than everyone else, but also to get the ball there, on the planet; there aren’t five million players like this.
He is a player of the highest caliber. From our perspective, there is really nothing to complain about because he can be quite dangerous both with and without the ball.
“The football is fantastic, but his counter-pressing was insane.
The whole package is created by that.
I have nothing but respect for it.
”.
With the arrival of Mac Allister and Szoboszlai, it does appear that Thiago is as far away from a spot in Klopp’s side as he has ever been during his time at Anfield. Although the Liverpool manager would undoubtedly be able to find a spot for him in the team when needed, he may not be a regular starter right now.
When healthy, Thiago will continue to be a valuable asset for Klopp’s team. The ability of the midfielder will almost certainly not be a factor if a decision regarding his future needs to be made.
