Elliott ready for starting chance

Jurgen Klopp is expected to name Harvey Elliott in Liverpool’s starting XI against Toulouse tomorrow.

Manchester United are back in the Europa League and will be looking to make it three wins from three on Thursday night.

With a big game against Nottingham Forest scheduled for Sunday, the pitch could change significantly for Klopp’s side.

This has impressed a number of fringe players, with the Liverpool ECHO claiming Elliott is “expected” to be one of those brought in.

The 20-year-old shone in a stunning cameo in Saturday’s win over Everton. Elliott has featured in the XI in both of Liverpool’s Europa League games so far.
Tomorrow is your chance to make another impression.

Anyone who watched Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Everton on Saturday will agree that Harvey deserved it.

Despite being on the pitch for less than 30 minutes, the former Fulham youngster was the Reds’ best player.

After watching his teammates move the ball slowly and powerfully off the bench, Elliott immediately put some speed and effort into the process.
He would also have scored a great goal if it wasn’t for a great save from Jordan Pickford.

To be fair, the England U21 international would have started this game despite his performance this weekend.
He is currently in Klopp’s XI in Europe.

However, there is still a place in the manager’s Premier League XI.
Jurgen often rewards good play.
Do a good job tomorrow.
There can be a line on Sunday.
Klopp has always wanted to show Elliott that he is very committed to his plans.

In 2022, the manager described the then 19-year-old as “fantastic” and a first-team player.
In the past year, Harvey has left no doubt about that. But after some good form off the bench this season, tomorrow is a real opportunity for him to show he can be even more important for Liverpool.

Kylian Mbappe

Let’s start with the biggest, shall we?
Gazzetta dello Sport claim Liverpool are set to make a big-money contract offer to PSG in January in a bid to convince none other than Kylian Mbappé to move to PSG as his contract in France expires next summer.
It’s definitely interesting, but honestly, I don’t think it’s going to happen.

Jamal Musiyala

Liverpool showed interest in Bayern youngster Jamal Musiala earlier this week after contract talks with the Gunners broke down.
However, TZ say the young attacking midfielder is not particularly interested in a move to Merseyside and is keen to win more trophies with Bayern.

Victor Osimken

There are also reports that Manchester United could make a bid for Napoli superstar Victor Osimhen.

According to Walter De Maggio, Liverpool and Osimhen have reached an “understanding” after United hijacked contract talks for the Napoli forward.

Meanwhile, Calciomercato said Napoli could expect €100m to sell former Lille player Osimhen, whose contract expires in 2025.

According to 90 Minutes, Arsenal are in the race to sign Liverpool target Andre Trindad.
The Reds made an inquiry for the 22-year-old in the summer but Fluminense turned him down, preferring to wait for a winter cut.

Reports suggest Gunners transfer boss Edu has been on a scouting mission to his hometown and wants Andre to join the midfielder.
Kaoru Mitoma.

Brighton winger Kaoru Mitoma has signed a new contract at the Amex Stadium after rejecting interest from Liverpool and other suitors.
At least that’s what the London world claims.

Remember: Alexis McAllister has signed a new contract ahead of his departure from Brighton to Anfield in the coming months…
Alex Oxlade-Camerin

Finally, former Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain told Athletic that he had no idea he would be released at the end of last season and had not received any official communication from the club in recent months.

The injured star will now remain with Turkish giants Besiktas.
