Kylian Mbappé speaks out about his upcoming transfer following latest Liverpool links

Despite the related costs, Kylian Mbappé has frequently been linked to Liverpool. The superstar from PSG and France has discussed his future.
The 25-year-old Kylian Mbappé of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has talked about reports that he is set to leave the team as the transfer window opens. Mbappé maintains that he hasn’t made a decision yet, even though he is approaching the final six months of his contract, which gives him the opportunity to discuss pre-contract agreements with other European teams.
With Mbappé’s contract expiring under unusual circumstances, his possible transfer is expected to be among the biggest in recent football history—especially since there won’t be a transfer fee (though there will be a lot of other costs, including a mammoth signing-on fee). Le Parisien said earlier this week that Liverpool was one of the teams hoping to sign the attacker in the summer.
In the first part of the 2023–24 season, both Arsenal and Chelsea have struggled with their strike force and are searching for fresh talent. Although mid-season deals appear implausible, they have been linked to both Ivan Toney and Victor Osimhen. According to Football.London, the two have also been linked to Mbappé.
A pre-contract agreement allows for the commencement of preparations even though Mbappé’s departure isn’t anticipated until the summer, when he can leave PSG at any time when his contract expires. The two-time World Cup Golden Boot winner is taking her time, though. He said (via Marca): “I haven’t decided what I’m going to do for a living. I didn’t decide what to do. My circumstances inside the club are not discussed; it is not a topic.
“What matters is that, with the deal I struck with the president this summer, we were able to safeguard everyone involved and maintain the club’s composure in the face of upcoming difficulties, regardless of my choice. Everything else is incidental. I didn’t make my decision in 2022 until May. I shouldn’t wait to make a decision if I know what I want to do. It would not be logical. My status in the club is never discussed because not many people are interested in it.”
Luis Enrique, the head coach of PSG, had similar views earlier in the week. After a remarkable turn of circumstances, Enrique had originally left Mbappé out of his squad for the preseason trip to Japan. Mbappé’s decision to forego activating a one-year contract extension that would have bound him until 2025 meant that PSG intended to sell him in order to avoid losing him for nothing.
Plans quickly changed, though, and Mbappé went on to score 18 goals in 16 games and play a significant part in Enrique’s debut season. Currently, it appears that PSG will have to let go of its best player unless they make another stunning turnabout.
Mbappé’s most likely destination is Real Madrid. However, The Athletic has already revealed that, following the breakdown of their relationship, PSG will make every effort to stop him from relocating to Santiago Bernabéu.
There is currently no proof that Chelsea, Arsenal, or Liverpool are getting ready for life without the former Monaco player. However, considering how special the circumstances are, they will surely be closely monitoring any changes.
According to Liverpool.com, Kylian Mbappé joining Real Madrid would be the best-case situation for Liverpool because he would at least be playing outside of the Premier League. Given the financial commitment, there is virtually no way that the Reds could afford to sign the PSG star.
