Liverpool FC is pleased to announce the release of Klopp, an official coffee table-style book that commemorates Jürgen Klopp’s historic tenure at the club and immerses readers in his extraordinary journey as manager.
This glossy 288-page book is the ultimate chronicle of Klopp’s life and times at Liverpool FC, featuring unique interviews and extraordinary insights from current and past players, rival managers, and those who worked most closely with him.
With 200 breathtaking images from LFC’s collection and a foreword by the man himself, readers are transported back to the most critical and memorable events of Klopp’s rule.
Klopp, published by Ebury Spotlight in the UK and Ten Speed Press in the United States and Canada, both part of Penguin Random House, will be available for general sale on September 26. Starting August 27, supporters will be able to pre-order through our web store and the LFC Store app.
The captivating book includes Mike Gordon, president of Fenway Sports Group, explaining what made Klopp the ideal fit for Liverpool, James Milner describing how he set about transforming the club, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk revealing how he persuaded them to sign, and Jordan Henderson opening up about what Klopp said in his team-talk to inspire the legendary Champions League comeback against Barcelona in 2019.
Sir Kenny Dalglish also reflects on the successful 2019-20 Premier League season and how the German broke the club’s 30-year title drought, saying: “I said when he was appointed, ‘Fasten your seatbelts and get ready for take-off,’ and I wasn’t wrong.
He took us on a journey. Salah adds, “The boss enhanced everything throughout his time here, everyone loved him, and he’s been a brilliant manager, as you can see. Playing for him has been a great experience.”
Meanwhile, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola offers gratitude, adding, “Jürgen’s team helped us to reach our limits.” This is true. They have been our biggest competition, by far.”
Klopp is a celebration of an extraordinary period in LFC history, describing Jürgen’s indelible impact on the club and the innumerable lovely memories that fans will cherish forever. It also goes to the heart of what made Klopp one of Liverpool’s most respected and successful managers.
Mike Cox, senior vice-president of marketing at Liverpool FC, stated, “Klopp is the definitive account of his incredible time as manager of LFC, from the people who worked with him most closely day in and day out.”
“We’re very delighted to have been able to create this for our fans and football lovers, spanning the highs and lows from his first day in charge to his last. Enjoy the fantastic journey again.”
