Liverpool are not interested in pursuing a Premier League star who has frequently been linked with the club

With the opening of the January transfer window, rumors about Premier League clubs, especially league leaders Liverpool, have begun circulating.
In the previous summer transfer window, the Reds were only able to sign Federico Chiesa, and they are expected to be more active in the market this year to strengthen their squad and enhance their chances of securing the Premier League title.
Currently sitting atop the Premier League standings, Liverpool is ahead of Arsenal and Nottingham Forest.
Although they have been the most dominant team in the league this season, some areas of their squad remain weak, and they intend to bolster their ranks soon.
The position most likely to be reinforced is left-back, following Andy Robertson’s recent poor form.
One player linked with the club is Fulham’s left-back, Antonee Robinson, who has been having an exceptional season under Marco Silva’s management.
However, journalist Mark Ogden has reported that Liverpool is not keen on signing him, citing his age as the main issue.
During a discussion on ESPN FC, Ogden explained:
“The Antonee Robinson thing has been there for a while now. He’s had a great season, arguably the best left-back in the league.”
“So, Robinson’s name has been attached to Liverpool quite a bit. But I’ve been told on more than one occasion that Liverpool have minimal interest in Robinson.”
“It’s not because they don’t think he’s a good player,” Ogden continues. “It’s more the fact that he’s 27. He’s not their age profile. Liverpool don’t sign players for the long-term who are 27-years-old.”
“The name that has been put to me is Milos Kerkez at Bournemouth,” he adds. “He would fit the profile much better than Antonee Robinson.”
Liverpool set their sights on Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez.
Liverpool’s need for a new left-back is undeniable, whether they pursue Robinson or Kerkez.
This is a position that has caused issues this season, and given Robertson’s evident decline, a new face is required on the left side of their defense.
Another potential target is Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies, but only time will reveal which direction Liverpool’s transfer plans will take.
