LIVERPOOL WILL "COMPETE FOR TITLE," SAYS STEVIE NICOL If the five-man transfer agreement is approved
The deals between Liverpool and Saudi Arabia could change United’s midfield transfer plans

Liverpool have arguably always been the star players when it comes to midfielders in this summer’s transfer market, but the extent to which Jürgen Klopp has to reshape that part of his squad has become astonishing.

They were caught dozing off at Anfield last summer but could go from one extreme to the other. James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain leave on a free transfer, Fabinho goes to Saudi Arabia, Jordan Henderson could follow and Thiago is the subject of interest from Barcelona.

Klopp thought they had done most of his work this summer with the signings of Alex Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, but uncertainty surrounding three of his senior players could force them back into the transfer market.

When United appoint a new captain to replace Maguire
Manchester United are unlikely to appoint their new club captain until the team begins their pre-season tour of the United States. Harry Maguire confirmed in a statement on Sunday afternoon that he had been ousted as United captain after consulting with Erik ten Hag. However, he has not yet been named as a replacement as the coach wants to inform the whole squad of his decision before it is publicly announced.

Due to training and travel schedules, the entire squad won’t be together until they fly to New York on July 19 for the first leg of their pre-season tour, before facing Arsenal on July 22 at MetLife Stadium . the captain is not expected before then.

Two United players will not return to train due to sale plans

Eric Bailly and Alex TellesEric Bailly and Alex Telles failed to appear for Manchester United’s internationals’ first day of training on Saturday. United consider Bailly and Telles to be this summer’s must-sellers and neither are expected to be included in the tour squad leaving for the US on Wednesday.

Bailly, 29, and Telles, 30, are both out of contract next year and their one-year extensions will not be activated unless United sell them in the summer or winter transfer window.

Telles played on loan at Sevilla last season, where he started in the Europa League final at Roma. Saudi club Al-Nassr are interested in signing the Brazilian left-back
