Given the ongoing rumors regarding Kylian Mbappe’s future at Parc des Princes, Liverpool has been warned that PSG is “nailed on” to make a move for one of their star players this summer.

With his current contract set to expire in 2024, Mbappe, 24, has informed PSG that he will not be signing a contract renewal there.

The BBC reports that PSG is prepared to sell the France international this summer rather than take the chance of losing him for free the following year.

Mbappe has been linked to a number of teams, including Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Real Madrid, who are the clear favorites to sign him.

Lionel Messi’s departure—who has declared he will join MLS club Inter Miami on a free transfer this summer—coincides with Mbappe’s decision regarding his contract.

Neymar is reportedly another player PSG is looking to offload, as the Ligue 1 champions may need to replace three attackers this summer.

Prior to the announcement of Mbappe’s contract choice, Robbie Fowler, a former player for Liverpool, predicted that PSG would sign Mohamed Salah after Messi left.

Fowler stated in his column for The Mirror that “[Robert] Lewandowski looks like he’ll finish his career at Barcelona, while there is absolutely no way that I can see [Erling] Haaland or [Kylian] Mbappe] being available this summer, or any time soon.
