Liverpool informed PSG they are "nailed on" to make a move for Mo Salah, after the shocking Kylian Mbappe transfer news.
Given the ongoing rumors regarding Kylian Mbappe’s future at Parc des Princes, Liverpool has been warned that PSG is “nailed on” to make a move for one of their star players this summer.

With his current contract set to expire in 2024, Mbappe, 24, has informed PSG that he will not be signing a contract renewal there.

The BBC reports that PSG is prepared to sell the France international this summer rather than take the chance of losing him for free the following year.

Mbappe has been linked to a number of teams, including Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Real Madrid, who are the clear favorites to sign him.

Lionel Messi’s departure—who has declared he will join MLS club Inter Miami on a free transfer this summer—coincides with Mbappe’s decision regarding his contract.

Neymar is reportedly another player PSG is looking to offload, as the Ligue 1 champions may need to replace three attackers this summer.

A transfer warning was sent to Salah by Liverpool.

Prior to the announcement of Mbappe’s contract choice, Robbie Fowler, a former player for Liverpool, predicted that PSG would sign Mohamed Salah after Messi left.

Fowler stated in his column for The Mirror that “[Robert] Lewandowski looks like he’ll finish his career at Barcelona, while there is absolutely no way that I can see [Erling] Haaland or [Kylian] Mbappe] being available this summer, or any time soon.

Which leaves Neymar and [Harry] Kane, as well as Salah and Neymar, if anyone is foolish enough to take a chance on a player who appears to be done playing football. Four of the biggest clubs in the world are united in their pursuit of the assurance of goals.

“And two English football strikers who over the past seven years have delivered them magnificently. A major altercation is anticipated.

“I only bring up Salah because I’ve believed for a few months now that he could be targeted this summer, and it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if both Madrid and PSG come in for him – with the French club nailed on in my opinion to try and get him.

“I don’t think Liverpool fans should be too concerned because he has a long contract and the club has shown in the last few years they won’t be forced into selling unless it’s on their own terms,” the author says.

“Having said that, it was concerning to hear him say at the end of the season how disappointed he was that they didn’t place in the top four and how there was no justification for it.

I thought his agent, not Mo, made that sound.
We also understand HE’s workings.
This summer, PSG must replace Messi and most likely Neymar by bringing in a superstar. They might also really go after Kane because they’ll be swinging hard.
“.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the president of PSG and the head of Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), was seen meeting with Salah earlier this year.

At the time, there were rumors that the meeting had something to do with Salah’s future at his club or a possible sale of Liverpool.

After confirming a meeting in London had taken place, CBS Sports reporter Ben Jacobs stated Salah and Al-Khelaifi were “simply friends.”.

But Salah’s future at Anfield will once again be a topic of discussion after the news of Mbappe’s contract decision.

Liverpool hopes to sign an 11-goal midfielder this summer for £25 million.

Liverpool approached to sign for 2022 only to leave after Klopp finds replacement
Liverpool are reportedly keen to sign Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse.

According to a Daily Mail report, the midfielder is worth £50m, but Liverpool are willing to wait for his price to drop. The Reds are apparently willing to invest around £25m in the veteran midfielder.

The 28-year-old central midfielder is expected to leave Southampton this summer following relegation.

Ward-Prowse has proven himself to be a reliable player in the Premier League over the years and has 11 goals and 5 assists to his name in all competitions this season.

He could bring much-needed creativity and goals to the Liverpool midfield. He is also one of the best free-kick takers in Premier League history and could add a new dimension to Liverpool’s attack from set pieces.

Apparently clubs like Newcastle and West Ham are also interested in signing the midfielder and it remains to be seen where he will end up.

The opportunity to play for a big club like Liverpool will be tempting for him, but the Reds must first agree a transfer fee with Southampton.

Considering Southampton’s value is double what Liverpool are willing to pay, the transfer could get quite complicated.

Liverpool need to improve their midfield if they want to return to the Champions League.

They have lost the likes of James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on free transfers and need several reinforcements in the middle of the park.
