Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s

In what appears to be a blow for Liverpool, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s anticipated move to Anfield is unlikely to materialize. According to former footballer Alan Shearer, the highly sought-after Napoli winger is now expected to join Paris Saint-Germain instead.

Kvaratskhelia, who has become a standout talent during his time in Naples, has caught the attention of top clubs across Europe, including Liverpool. The Georgian international’s impressive performances in both the Champions League and Euro 2024 have only elevated his reputation. While he expressed a desire to leave Serie A as early as the summer, it now seems that his next destination will be PSG rather than Merseyside.

“I think he’s asked to leave, hasn’t he? So, by all accounts, what I’m hearing, the likelihood is that PSG – I’m hearing he may be going to them,” Shearer shared on The Rest Is Football podcast. “No doubt he’s a very, very good player,” he added.

Though Liverpool’s potential pursuit of the winger seems to be fading, Micah Richards, a former Manchester City and Aston Villa defender, has voiced his admiration for Kvaratskhelia. Richards believes the 23-year-old would have been a perfect addition for Liverpool, praising his bold dribbling style. “I think if you got Kvaratskhelia, that would be a top signing for them,” Richards remarked. “Just the way he dribbles. He’s fearless… He’s done it at the highest level in the Champions League.”

Richards also noted the value of having versatile attackers like Luis Díaz and Cody Gakpo in Liverpool’s squad. However, even with the Reds’ strengthened frontline following the summer signing of Federico Chiesa, Richards expressed regret over potentially missing out on Kvaratskhelia.

On the transfer front, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that PSG had agreed to terms with Napoli for Kvaratskhelia’s transfer, expected to be valued over £60m. The winger will reportedly sign a five-year contract with the French giants.

With multiple sources backing the move to Paris, Liverpool’s pursuit of Kvaratskhelia seems to have fizzled out, leaving Arne Slot and Liverpool fans disappointed.

Sam Beukema

“Liverpool Reportedly Make Offer for Bologna Defender Sam Beukema, but Face Rejection”

Reports suggest Liverpool have made an offer to sign Bologna defender Sam Beukema, but according to 1000 Cuori Rossoblu, the club’s bid for the 26-year-old Dutch defender has been rejected.

Arne Slot, who is familiar with Beukema from his time at Feyenoord, may influence Liverpool’s decision to return with an improved offer. The club is keen to sign the player this month.

With dependable defenders like Joe Gomez and Ibrahima Konate, Liverpool is looking to strengthen their defensive options. The 26-year-old could provide a valuable addition to their squad, having demonstrated his abilities in Italian football, making him a potential fit for Liverpool.

The opportunity to join a top club like Liverpool will be appealing to Beukema, who will likely hope both clubs can reach an agreement before the window closes. He caught attention with a strong performance against Liverpool earlier this season during Bologna’s visit to Anfield in October.

Bologna not willing to sell Sam Beukema

However, Bologna reportedly does not want to sell Beukema this month, as they are unwilling to allow key players to leave midway through the season. A transfer would likely have to wait until the summer window, leaving Liverpool’s interest potentially on hold until then.

At the peak of his career, Beukema is eager to test himself at a higher level. With the physical attributes to succeed in English football, he will be keen to make an immediate impact at Anfield if the transfer takes place soon.

Agent Confirms: ‘He Will Stay’ Amid January Liverpool Exit Rumors

Liverpool first-team assistant coach John Heitinga has attracted interest from managerless West Bromwich Albion.

Heitinga’s agent has confirmed that the Liverpool coach will remain at Anfield for the remainder of the season, despite interest from West Bromwich Albion. The former Everton defender joined Liverpool in the summer as part of new head coach Arne Slot’s backroom staff.

Before joining Liverpool, Heitinga had managed Ajax and most recently worked alongside his former Everton boss, David Moyes, in the coaching team at West Ham United.

His experience and positive impact at Liverpool — who are currently six points clear at the top of the Premier League, leading the Champions League, and advancing to the League Cup semi-finals — have made him a target for Championship club West Brom.

West Brom, who are aiming for promotion to the Premier League, have been without a manager since Carlos Corberan left to take charge of La Liga side Valencia just before Christmas.

However, their efforts to bring Heitinga to the Hawthorns seem unlikely to succeed. His agent, Rob Jansen, was quoted in De Telegraaf stating: “John will definitely stay at Liverpool this season.”
