It’s reasonable to say that Bradley will have a difficult time competing with Trent Alexander-Arnold for the right-back spot, but Charles thinks the youthful defender can succeed in that endeavour. Bradley has already received 13 caps for his nation, and his former Bolton teammate called his absence from the next games against Northern Ireland a “big miss.”

“Conor is the kind of guy who will be around [Alexander-Arnold] all the time, rubbing elbows with him, so it can only help him in the long run,” Charles went on.

“Conor played like a 30-year-old and hadn’t played any senior football when he first arrived at Bolton. Conor performs with such experience; he is amazing.”

“It’s always great to have a player like that around us,” the Bolton striker continued. “The type of player he is, especially when he was at Bolton, when Conor is on the ball you feel like he is going to do something.”
