Liverpool injury update: Latest news and return dates for Stefan Bajcetic, Cody Gakpo and Thiago Alcantara

For Everton’s visit to Anfield, Liverpool might welcome back three players to the first team picture.
Following the international break, several first-team stars will return, giving Liverpool a boost.
Jurgen Klopp’s team has had a strong start to the Premier League season and sits just three points off Tottenham and Arsenal, despite having to settle for a draw against Brighton on Sunday.
The Liverpool manager will be eager to have players like Cody Gakpo and Stefan Bajcetic available to him once more because a derby match against Everton is scheduled to take place immediately following the international matches.
Here are the most recent injury updates for Liverpool.
Cody Gakpo.
After leaving the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium a week ago wearing a knee brace after being taken off the field at halftime of that game, there were concerns that Cody Gakpo would have to spend a significant amount of time on the sidelines.
A “good chance” exists that the Dutchman will be healthy and available to play against Everton after the international break, according to Klopp, who revealed that the injury kept him out of the draw with Brighton.
“He is already out of the brace, walks normally around, so from all the very, very bad opportunities and possibilities injury-wise, I think he nearly got the best but is still injured,” Klopp said.
Thiago Alcantara.
Due to hip surgery at the end of the previous season, Thiago Alcantara has not yet played in this season.
The midfielder was getting close to playing again, but a few minor setbacks have hindered his recovery.
Though the Everton game may be scheduled too soon, the Liverpool manager has expressed the hope that Thiago will be available soon after the international break.
He has now experienced two setbacks in his rehabilitation, neither of which were severe but were sufficient to remove him from the field once more, according to Klopp.
“Clearly, the injury is not the same, but it is somewhat similar.
26 October, 2023 against Toulouse is a possible return date.
Stephen Bajcetic.
In the Europa League match against LASK, Stefan Bajcetic made his long-awaited comeback from injury by starting.
He then came off the bench in the victory over Leicester in the Carabao Cup a week later.
The teenager has not participated since, according to Klopp, who claimed that the teenager “felt something else” after making his comeback.
Like Thiago, it is not thought to be a serious problem, so there is a chance he could play in the Merseyside derby.
Conor Bradley,
Conor Bradley had a stress fracture in his back, it was revealed at the end of August.
Bradley’s status for the remainder of Northern Ireland’s Euro 2024 qualification campaign is described by manager Michael O’Neill as “extreme doubt,” which suggests he might miss the team’s final two games in mid-November.
Last week, Klopp provided a more upbeat update, but he was clear that Liverpool would not rush Bradley back into action.
Conor is returning and running, but in that age group and with these kinds of injuries you tend to give them three weeks more than not enough because it has to do with the body’s growing process and other things like this, the Liverpool said.

JURGEN KLOPP CONFIRMS ‘OUTSTANDING’ LIVERPOOL PLAYER JUST SUFFERED AN INJURY
Following yet another setback in the Liverpool star’s quest to get back in shape, Jurgen Klopp has now spoken out about the most recent “annoying” injury he has seen.
After having surgery at the end of the previous season, the 32-year-old hasn’t played for the Reds since April. Liverpool sent the Spaniard for surgery in the hopes that it would treat Thiago’s chronic hip injury.
Further issues with his recovery at Melwood, however, have since surfaced.
Initially, Thiago’s return to training in August gave manager Klopp a major boost. But just as he was about to resume exercising, Thiago returned to the clinic a few weeks later.
Following the emergence of a new issue, the 46-cap international is now facing a second protected absence.
Thiago’s latest injury is “annoying,” according to Klopp, the manager of Liverpool.
As Liverpool manage another injury, Klopp has confirmed that Thiago is still far from making his eagerly anticipated comeback.
Despite not being a major issue, it is serious enough to prevent a return.
The two injuries that have troubled him for months have nothing to do with his current problem.
The Liverpool Echo reported that Klopp said, “It’s just, for him especially, it’s annoying.”.
His rehabilitation has now experienced two setbacks. Not much, but enough to remove him from the field once more.
It is obviously not the same injury at all, but it is somewhat similar.
Following the Spaniard’s hip injury that required surgery, Thiago missed Liverpool’s final six Premier League games of the 2022–23 season.
After just 18 appearances, of which he began in 14, his campaign came to an end in April.
Only 1,256 minutes of league play would be allotted to Thiago by Klopp.
At Anfield, Thiago has never managed to stay fit for the entire season.
Liverpool and Klopp will have hoped for better this season given the numerous injuries Thiago dealt with last year.
Over the course of their Premier League season, he spent four periods on the sidelines.
As a result of an injury, Thiago missed three of those time periods.
A full season of fitness hasn’t been achieved by the Spaniard since Klopp acquired Thiago from Bayern Munich for an initial £20 million, with a further £25 million to be paid in September 2020. The midfielder, who Klopp has praised as “outstanding,” has consistently missed at least one extended period of time
