Liverpool is "preparing a formal offer" for a potential upgrade over Luis Diaz. Liverpool is reportedly getting ready to make

Liverpool is reportedly getting ready to make a bid for Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze, following his great Euro 2024 campaign.

After an incredible season in which he scored eight goals in Palace’s final ten games to secure a berth in Gareth Southgate’s 26-man roster, the 26-year-old has attracted a lot of interest.

The Reds and Tottenham Hotspur are now expected to compete for the signing of the talented forward, who made three substitute appearances in Germany this summer, according to Football Insider.

Although a number of elite Premier League teams have apparently indicated interest in signing Eze before the transfer deadline of August 31st, it is Liverpool and Tottenham who are allegedly preparing official bids after Eze returns from his post-Euros holiday.

According to Steve Kay on KS1TV, Arsenal, who was previously said to have expressed interest, is no longer thought to be in the lead since the Gunners would not be able to ensure first-team football.

£50M+ IS WHAT CRYSTAL PALACE WANT FOR EZE

looking to pry Crystal Palace’s best player away will need to shell out a lot of cash, though.

After selling Michael Olise to Bayern Munich for £50.8 million earlier this summer, the South Londoners are in a good negotiation position, and they’ll probably want for a comparable price for Eze.

This is due to the fact that Eze managed 11 goals and six assists in 31 appearances last season despite a muscular issue that limited him to 26 starts.

Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, and Cody Gakpo are just a few of the many options Liverpool currently has on the left flank. However, Eze’s versatility and attacking ability make him a valuable target, especially if the Colombian departs this summer as has been rumoured, with Barcelona reportedly having the greatest interest in the 27-year-old.

Potential suitors Paris Saint-Germain have also been suggested, and Liverpool is rumoured to be prepared to approve Diaz’s departure this summer should he make a move request. The Reds, though, are not interested in selling.

Although Diaz scored a few more goals in the previous campaign, Eze had a superior goals-per-minute ratio, more effective takeaways, and higher percentages of shots on goal.

Ferdi Kadioglu

Liverpool and Manchester United will compete with many other clubs across Europe for the signature of Turkey international Ferdi Kadioglu during the summer transfer window.

Liverpool and Manchester United are reportedly vying for the signature of Fenerbahce striker Ferdi Kadioglu. According to sources, the Turkish full-back shone while away with the national squad at Euro 2024 and is now garnering interest from clubs across the Premier League.

According to Calciomercato, Liverpool and United have joined the growing list of clubs in Europe keeping an eye on Kadioglu. Arsenal, Juventus, and Newcastle United are among the other clubs linked with the defender’s transfer.

The 24-year-old can play on either flank and would be a valuable addition for new Liverpool manager Arne Slot, who may aim to shift Trent Alexander-Arnold into a more permanent midfield role in future.

The Turkish giants are apparently opposed to the player’s departure, but if he does leave, they will demand around $33 million (€30 million/£25 million). Liverpool has yet to complete a signing in the summer transfer window, but the Red Devils have been one of the busier teams, pursuing other targets such as Joshua Zirkzee and Matthijs de Ligt.

However, if any team wants to recruit Kadioglu, they would most certainly face a big stumbling block this summer, as new manager Jose Mourinho seeks to retain one of the club’s top players. “Our president wants our club to develop, not regress,” Mourinho said Hurriyet when questioned about Kadioglu’s and other team members’ futures.

“This means keeping the greatest players and not selling them. The primary priority is to get the players we have back on the team. “This will happen gradually.”

Liverpool.com reports that Liverpool is looking to add depth to its defence during the summer transfer season. Andy Robertson and Alexander-Arnold both missed lengthy stretches of time last season, so having a guy like Kadioglu who can cover numerous positions could be crucial in the coming season. At 24 years old, he is still a long way from his peak and might thrive under Slot.
